Where do the tentacle cards come from?
They don't fit the aesthetic of any of the Scrybes, don't even have proper names, and you can only find them in Leshy's cabin (with one super guide-dang-it exception in the retro portion of the game). But Leshy says he doesn't know how they got there either. Did the ARG have any insights? These tentacles mostly seem like unexplained extras to me so far...

Plus, what exactly do they do? The rulebook text is too blotched for me to read, and I swear the bell tentacle from the little kraken worked differently from the one I played in the ending fight when I got my deck back from Leshy.

There are three types of Tentacles in Part 1. Mirror has the same attack power as the card it's played opposing; Bell has attack based on how many times you've wrung the bell; and Card has attack based on how many cards you currently have in your hand.

As for where they came from, it's likely they're linked with OLD_DATA. Water seems to be how the Scrybes and NPCs can access it - P03 has the Dredger, Leshy has Angler (looking for OLD_FISH), Grimora has her well, and Magnificus has his sink. The Kraken in Part 2 can only be acquired from the water and can be found both by the Angler's dock and in Magnificus's sink.

It would be natural to think this but ive found its how close he is to the bell instead.

I messed up many plays thinking hes going to have 3+ attack but put him in the far right spot giving him 1
