IS THIS A BUG? I already got the film but i cant seem to be able to take a picture of leshy

On my first attempt on fighting leshy i already solved the clock puzzle and have the film (it even says so on steam) but I can't seem to take a picture of him. Tried again, defeated him twice now and same results. Got really frustrated so i started looking at guides to make sure i did nothing wrong after two 'wins'. I died once prior to getting to leshy so this is my third attempt atm. I really wanted to go at this blind but i think something is really wrong and have been trying to find for a solution online. I think the only puzzle i didnt finish is the 'painting' ones for 'act1'... right now i have two pictures on the door... ill try one more time and try to redo the steps for opening the clock.. this will be the fourth time ill be poking my eye out (the first was an easy pick since its really shiny, the 2nd and third time happened on my 3rd gameplay but 'tested' other eye options hoping for something different..)
