Beat the Game, Wish There Was More... Thoughts/Feelings (SPOILERS)

Just finished the game and was kind of sad it was over so quickly.

I wish that maybe they will come out with a DLC or something where the gameplay/format is like act I and NOT like act II. I didn't much care for the "retro" feel of act II and honestly act III as well. The short moment during the finale when you were playing against Grimora in the format of act ! (while the files were being deleted) was super cool. I didn't mind the fact that you were playing more for bones than blood. (The attacking graphic was dope with the skeleton hands)

I loved the map from act ! and following it and deciding your path SO MUCH, as well as being able to sacrifice cards to make other ones better and even the death cards. Maybe in the future they can add some new bosses (preferably more than 3 or 4) so it can go on for much much longer. lol

I didn't really enjoy the game play that involved the gems and honestly even the energy. I feel like just having bones and blood is enough for me.

All in all, I enjoyed the game. And much like many other players, was kind of disappointed the entire game wasn't like the game play showed in the demo.

I'd like other player's thoughts and feelings, which is why I put this in the discussions.

I really enjoyed the first act; the look, feel, and atmosphere were exceptional. I was also very interested in the story and was looking forward to unfurling the mystery of things like "entries in the book with black ink", or the "tentacles". Eventually when I reached part 2 I was underwhelmed as the graphical change removed a lot of the atmosphere, in the interest of the story I was still going to trek on and see where it went. After playing several battles in act 2 I found that I actively disliked the gameplay . The gameplay for me didn't feel similar, the atmosphere was gone, and all that was left for me was the story but unfortunately that wasn't enough for me to even have the will to keep playing so I shelved it . While I am not saying this is the case but how it felt to me was : "The creator had a grand vision for a product and made an exceptional and fun game, he then ran out of ideas/money/xyz and did the bare-minimum to pass it out the door and move on"

I will come back to it again someday, maybe it is disappointment that lost me; maybe it is something else but ultimately I had fun until I got until to the end of act 1 and past that it looks and feels to me like an inferior knock off of Act 1 [Like a different developer working on it]. I would call this the "Game of Thrones" of my steam library :)

I hope they maybe make some type of maybe just rogue like mode for act with all the scribes and in doing so expand on it heavily , but sadly i have my doubts.

It feels so dissapointing. Even though nothing will match the beginning part, I was hoping to maybe play other scribes for real. And it just ended.

I wish there was endless mode. In many games there is some kind of survival/endless mode. Facing stronger and stronger opposition until you perish. First part basically has all needed components already programmed, why not have it.

So much potential to be more.

I feel pretty much the same and I also really wish there was a way to face Grimora for longer because I also felt her table was very cool to interact with.

I want all of act 4 to be split into actual different acts. We should have at least 2 more acts!

once you finish the game you can head back to act 1 and use a mod manager to add new bosses cards features and more ive been doing this for almost 90+ hours now this game has made me put things like slay the spire and monster train on the back burner there are tutorials online for how to mod the game bc the game itself doesnt support mods like we are used to on steam check it out its loads of fun, quick tip if you choose to do this do not get the camera roll out of the clock you will be forced into act two where you will most likely crash the game most mods are act 1 only

I feel like i'm the only one to like Act 2. Oh well.

I do hope the developer realize people like Act 1 and Act 2 and maybe add a full mode for those who complete the game. Something to 1 give the game a huge replay boost and 2 something to encourage players to complete the game.
