(best I can do to explain it without risking spoilers)
It's still a great game tho.
Act 2 is basically an entirely different game and really boring to look at when compared to the art style of Act 1.
Act 3 is just dull all around and I get that that's kind of the point but compared to Act 1's visual style and world building its just overall inferior.
I enjoy all 3 acts don't get me wrong but act 1 is the best one, it starts on a very strong foot and then stumbles over itself trying to be a "quirky indie game story"
question after leshy: I like the game so far but I found the video clips with the dude very cringey and felt like it ruined the mood of the game so far. Did anyone else feel that way?
also, when does Act 1 end? Ill continue play so far
Frankly, I kind of regret letting act 1 to end. The fanboys here are wrong, the people criticising it are right. Act 1 really is the height. Act 2 is dull. Haven't reached act 3 yet myself, but from what I've seen in some pics, I'm hopeful that it will return to the style of act 1.
The map system is good and all, graphism etc, but a bloody time sink compared to the two previious acts. I think that carefully exploring the map and finding secrets was something like 60% of my timeplay on act3 ...
Go make your own game then : )
