Taking photo of the boss pitch dark room

there seems to be a small candle and I cant see anythingg else...im so confused.

yes, it wierd after taking photo of the boss im in a pitch dark room with small candle goes nowhere...

Taking the photo unlocked the New Game button. You pressed continue to start. This isn't replaying what you've already done, it's a new part of the game

Not first hand but as far as I can tell, some kinda loop triggers. People who haven't done the thing can't advance so it looks like they start the cabin again.

You get extra lore every time you beat him without the roll, extra dialogue from the player too, cheaper pelts... (3-5 teeth for a gold)

The limit seems to be 8. 3 on top panel, 3 on middle panel, 2 on bottom panel. Can't seem to add any more to the door after that.

Seems like a horrible design. I just assumed it was bugged and I kind of beat the game. Maybe it will make since, but right now it just seems dumb.

No handholding = terrible design confirmed.
Surely main menu button within the world seemed natural part of it prior to interacting with it after all.

I'm also dumb, it took me 5 mins of clicking on everything before I realised what to do as I was just about considering leaving the game to google it. Which is probably what made me realise. :)
