[SPOILER] Where is the EYE?

Hey guys... My character has used the knife for so many times and won so many matches... But the special "eye" never showed up in the box. Could someone tell me if there is any other condition required, please?

Did you beat Leshy? If you get a cutscene of a painting of the knife, then that's when to do it I think.

I think you have to beat any boss using the Knife, I've seen a lot of folks streams where they get the eye pretty quickly but it took me several daggers to get the right eye.

Yes, I beat him already and I also saw that cutscene for a couple of times... Thanks!

Oh so it can take several times to get the right eye? I have already used it to win a boss for several times... I guess it's just my luck hasn't arrived yet, lol. Thanks!

I actually had to lose to get the eye. Now matter how many wins I struck (at least 7,) it wouldn't give me the eye until I died to Leshy at least once. I'm not sure if you can obtain the eye from only win streaks, but the likelihood of it appearing must be low.
Note that even if you see the cutscene with a certain green guy and a paintbrush, it does not guarantee you the eye that run.

I can confirm that you do not need to beat him for the eye to show up

Ok, thank you for confirming that for me. I suspected that might be the case since I hadn’t lost since the first run, but didn’t want to lose on purpose to find out.

It's a bit weird, I never got to Leshy before getting the eye. I used the knife during the second phase of the Trapper fight and got the eye first try.

I just want to join in and say the game is too easy, there's no reason to expect the player to lose...

I read this discussion and proceded to play a game with the goal of losing to leshy at the end, but decided the run was too good and finished it. Then somehow got the cutscene anyway, even though I had lost? I don't know what I did differently as I won the previous game as well. This was only my 3rd time making it to leshy out of the 5-6 games I've played including the tutorial.

ok wait so are you seeing the special arcane looking eye? because you might just be picking the wrong one lol
