Started New Game and what the f...
I am already starting to be pissed off :|

Until the 3D gameplay was fine and now simple enemies just bust out and destroy me coz I get ♥♥♥♥ cards, no matter if I set my deck manually or go with auto-complete. I simply get ♥♥♥♥ ton of blood cards with no energy cards.

Is this some kinda joke? Or am I supposed to start with PO3 after I beat the game thousand times to get it? :||

I'm going against bosses and I'm simply raped up my ass :| I get one card and enemies get 2-3. I can't defend myself with this and I am getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on :| All the enjoyment from the game went down the drain :|

What deck did you start with?
Suguru Oct 21, 2021 @ 3:45am
PO3. I started new game to check if I'm doing something wrong, but NOPE.

First fight as a magician and this happens -> https://www72.zippyshare.com/i/JIQlDZYm/51506/obraz_2021-10-21_124235.png

So I get the feeling that game wants me to start as Leshy, otherwise I don't effin know.

Honestly I’ve done a run with every starter deck now and I don’t know how you got to that point. The magic deck was far and away the easiest to win with for me.

Did you run around and grab all the free card packs before starting a fight? Sometimes you can grab things that flesh your deck out. The magicians really need one or two big cards added in order to win consistently. I pulled a mantis god but any decent single sacrifice or 3 bone card will do good

Yeah, collected lots of cards previously before boss fights and was able to win some normal fights, but bosses just said "YEA, NO" and they became a wall.

I dunno, it's a 'me' problem, but the game doesn't want me to push thru... I need to get past the frustration and maybe start fresh after some time... But still disappointed in the randomness and luck aspect of those fights...

I started with Leshy's deck, and after the initial couple card packs, I just hit "auto complete" - and had good success with that.

It doesn't mean I won every fight first try, as there's draw RNG, ontop of gameplay - but, it got me close enough I could close it out by playing the game myself.

I think PO3's starter deck, and the Mage starter deck, are likely the hardest out the gate; just based on how different they are mechanically, from the game prior.

You can start new game from main menu to retry the starter deck choice.

Also for anyone reading this, dont go for magic or technology, undead or beast starter deck is way to go.

I went with magic, it was fine. The trick is you don't need (and shouldn't use all the cards) concentrate on orange and green cards only, and try to keep the deck not too big. You are mostly grinding away and chump blocking but it wasn't too hard.

Beast was far and away the hardest one to start with. Until you can splash in some actually useful sacrifice cards from the other factions you have a pretty high chance of just getting clogged by squirrels and rabbits. The other decks are far more consistent with not getting bricked hands. Magic is probably the second worst in that regard but it’s basically a moot point with the sheer draw power they have.

Sigh... I recorded how I fight and how my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ luck is negative 20 all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time... I f'd up in 3rd try so just gave up... And am seriously considering giving up on this game... :/

All I ever did was autocomplete every time I got new cards. I feel like you need to pay attention to card types and how they resolve in this chapter apart from basic deck building strategies. If you've ever played star realms/mtg/hearthstone or any deckbuilding game you have to put some thought into how you play the cards.

Watching your video. Your card placement is really bad. You miss easy kills. Not blocking immediate/highest damage. It's not your luck that's bad, just your strategy.

I suggest you find the 4 leaf clover at the bridge to reroll starting hand and if you want to build your own deck, not auto complete, think about having starting (low cost), mid (medium cost), and ending (high cost) cards and how the different types can be used to synergise.

Thanks for the tips, will try it out now.

Yea, in the video I wasn't blocking damage as previous fights were all the same - block damage until I ran out of cards or the game will give me nothing of value... I don't know, I feel luck is a big part of it, but I'm also not neglecting poor strategy.

Also point out the timestamps when I make mistakes. I want to get better but saying that I make mistakes is kinda pointless without letting me know where I made them.

Sorry, but I honestly don't care enough to do that. It also kinda seems you want someone else to figure it out for you. I already told you what was wrong. I think you can do the rest.

Figures. Then I will not care about your opinion and will blame it all on luck anyway, as you seemed to only point that's something's wrong. And I don't want for someone to figure it out for me, just some pointers, but that's not something you seem to know how to give.

Pretty childish response here. Good luck on that luck.
