But I only use tier 4 Memory Wipe myself, as soon as I can get it, since every quickhack made after it is untraceable, so it's great for stealthy takedowns.
I don't think the higher tiers (t5 and Iconic) includes this feature. They do however put every enemies out of combat when using them, which I suspect is why they cost so much RAM. They are more like Ultimate Quickhacks.
Upload time is also extreme (10 seconds) for t5, although reduced by 7s for Iconic, while it's only 1,5 seconds (usually almost instant with perks and such) for the t4.

Atleast there is a Perk, that reduces the amount of needed RAM, depending on your Distance to the Target.
I have memory wipe in my Set... but i dont really use it. Have other, very effective ones.
Would be interesting to hear, although for my stealth style I'm happy with my current setup
This combo:
Memory Wipe (T4) ---> Reboot Optics (T2) ---> Sonic Shock (Iconic) knocks out enemies for 14 RAM (10+2+2), so that is pretty effective, almost feels like cheating!

Doesn't work on cyberpsychos (it freezes them in place for a good while, but they're not knocked out), though, and I suspect not on bosses, but I tried it on one of the NPCD scanner 'bosses' yesterday, and he went out like a light. They probably don't count as 'real' bosses, though. I mean the named bad guys you get a verbal message about from the NCPD when you approach, which usually have some iconic weapon schematic or something.
But before I discovered this combo, I used Memory Wipe followed by Overheat mainly, or some other combat hacks, but it's neat to use non-combat hacks for taking out enemies. Stacks of Cyberware Malfunction, for example, is also pretty powerful!
- Overheat (for biological targets)
- Short Circuit (against robots)
- Contagion (apparently, followed by Overheat, it causes an explosion)
- Synapse Burnout (rarely used)
- memory Wipe (rarely used)
- Cyberpsychosis ( why fighting, if the Targets can fight themself?; used on Robots, they turn friendly towards you [green marker on map])
- suicide
- system collapse (untraceable knockout, Target is neutralised but alive)
Thinking about replacing Synapse Burnout or Memory Wipe with Detonate Granate.
Yes, most of them need alot of RAM, but i invested alot in that Ability and the recharge-rate is good after a while.
In the DLC, you can get food, that permanently increased Stats like the recharge-rate.

(ignore the iconics, you can get these in the DLC only)
My Recharge-rate is 73% + some Perk-Effects.
Woah, so you have to use Memory Wipe AND Reboot Optics for Sonic Shock to work? Thought it said OR in the description
Nice, thanks. Been meaning to try Contagion. Sounds a bit fun with all that mayhem spreading like wildfire!
Both, yes. But only tier 2 Reboot Optics is enough.
I believe Sonic Shock was easier to use - or at least worked differently - before the revamp of the game in v2, but I didn't play then, so...
