Beast in me Badlands bug

I'm trying to do the Beast in me: Badlands quest, but every time the race loads in Claire's car goes flying into the air, usually onto a building where I can't get to it. Is there a way I can fix this?

not a fix, but a possible workaround: try using your own car. someone posted that as a solution to relative problem with Claire's questline

You cannot use your own car in the Badlands race. Claire always picks Beast.

I have a similar issue with this mission, but instead of Claire's truck flying up into the air, I drive to the first checkpoint without any problems, but around the second checkpoint, all the wheels of Claire's truck stop moving, and I slowly lose speed until the truck comes to a stop and then starts to reverse. It makes it impossible to complete this mission.

Got this same bug I didn't think my reversed but once it hit zero, I was able to accelerate again, But once it hit 100 it did the same thing. I just did the race, Was a pain but still got second to last. I was still able to progress. i did get first on the first race tho.

I just experienced this bug as well; wheels stop turning and the Beast turns into a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ snail. After reloading for the third time, thinking it was an one-time thing, I saw a "Restart at checkpoint" by holding down B on controller. Did that and I was reset to the last checkpoint, but could drive again, at least for a while. Had to do this every second or third checkpoint, but managed to finish the race in 4th place. Hope this helps anyone googling this bug and finding this discussion, like I did. Here's hoping this gets fixed, or someone at least makes a mod for this.

this is happening to me too :') all the wheels are locked up and it only goes like 12 mph. also it doesnt brake?!

thank gods I found this thread... have been fighting Beast for 3 hours now and its been pissing me off cuz I couldn't figure out anything on the web

having this issue too, but i actually powered through and finished the race. the thing is, the bug affects all of my cars too. i summoned my type-66 avenger after the race ended and it had the same issue

EDIT: i was able to fix it by just letting her drive me to her garage and skipping the wait. for the modders here, having the nitrous mod installed makes the hassle a lot easier
