ROG Ally, game crashing
I tried googling this but it doesn’t pop up an answer.

Since 2.13 game crashes, and does not launch, regardless if I try to force windowed mode.

I installed the latest AMD drivers. I tried turning off Frame generation. I checked file integrity…what am I missing?

Try reinstalling?
Mine updated no problem -I've played both native ROG Ally and with the XG Mobile.

I’ll try it. So weird.

For me i had this really weird warning about something not being able to write to ram, it was fixed by removing and reinstalling the 2015 windows redistrubitals strangely enough. Maybe give that a go before you go all rigorous and reinstal game/windows

Tried uninstalling, then reinstalling. Still crashes before starting, and warns that graphics driver is out of date.

I might have to downgrade to 2.12 just to get it running again…

That warning should not prevent the game from starting, just check up on that update for the gpu but if there then is none just start the game. A lot of us are having that warning me included and the game starts just fine

Yeah I reinstalled drivers, and uninstalled as well.

The game just won’t start. Screen goes black for 5 seconds, then shuts down.

I turned off all AMD adrenaline specific features. Still does this.

Hoping there’s a hot fix soon, or I’ll have to downgrade to 2.12

I'm assuming you did but just to be sure: did you run all the ASUS updates in Amoury Crate?

If you're running off of the internal SSD, try moving to the microSD (and vice versa).

What's your Ally's RAM allocated as? (Armoury Crate -> Performance -> GPU Settings)

Also, I saw this in an old post re: game crashing before start:
C:/user/*name*/AppData/local/CD Projekt Red/Cyberpunk 2077/UserSettings.json

Just delete that file (UserSettings.json) and start the game, It will bring back the default setting

This fixed it!

But.

Now I can’t run it in full screen mode. The option isn’t even available to choose in the graphics settings…

The Ally runs off of Armoury Crate? My condolences to you guys.

Are you trying to use frame gen and FSR3 maybe? When these are active full screen is indeed unavailable and is as designed, borderless full screen is what you need to use FSR3+FG

I know, right? Outside of updates, the only thing I use it for is to open Steam.
