DLSS 4 Ghosting
DLSS 4 causes a lot of ghosting, is it normal or not?

EDIT: Ghosting only happens on bushes and grass, nothing else and it is tied to the FPS, more FPS = more ghosting

No, weird. It's totally opposite to what most of us on this forum noticed today. It makes the game looks way clearer and gets rid of ghosting, actually. Try downloading and installing the latest GPU drivers from AMD or NVIDIA maybe?

i checked the drivers and there is no update, maybe its because of the sharpening settings i am using? my GPU is RTX 4060ti (8 GB)

btw it only causes ghosting on grasses and bushes, the rest looks way better than CNN model

No idea. I have RTX4080, drivers 566.36 and it absolutely looks better, as someone else said: "clarity is vastly improved". No ghosting, textures are cleaner, sharper. I have my DLSS sharpness in game settings at 50%.

Try removing the game settings and see if it helps:

C:\Users\Zak\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\UserSettings.json

Don't delete the file, just move it aside, reconfigure the game and see if it makes any difference.

Ah, OK, so it's not all bad. So maybe that's what it is? I only spent some time in the city, didn't get to look at grass and shrubs yet :)

if you also get the same ghosting effect can you mention it here too? maybe its just a test build for DLSS 4

Sure, I'll try to remember, but it's gonna be tomorrow. It's late in my part of the world, bedtime :)

I subscribed to this thread so if you don't hear from my by the end of the day tomorrow, post something and that will remind me.

You probably don't have enough VRAM, try turning down some settings. Especially raytracing, but also shadows and texture quality.

ray tracing and all of that is off and i did optimize my settings, i am getting around 160-180 FPS but still bushes are getting ghosting effects but the rest looks absolutely gorgeous compared to DLSS 3
Have the same problem, but for neon lights only. Dlss quality and FG on. Rtx 4080. No ghosting on this stuff before the update.

Happens also with the old dlss model now. (Not the optimus prime one)

Ghosting is WAY improved EXCEPT with colored light around Congress MLK tram tunnel lights.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's because of vram...

could be too high of fps as well, lock your framerate to half of what your refresh rate is.

after lowering the max frame rate, ghosting decreased with it but it still happens
