So on max graphic settings with DLSS set to quality and fram gen x2 on a 3440x1440 oled.... I am getting 95fps avg on the benchmark. Can I expect a smooth game throughout or should I turn off path tracing?

That's not very good frames for that good of a brand new card with an Upscaler on.
I have a 6080, it is a bit better but still disappointing. Can you help me ?

95 fps Isn't good enough for you my God you modern day gamer's are really something else lol.

You choose for yourself. Do you find the experience smooth enough? Than great. Do you not like it? Lower to something like the Regular raytracing preset it runs pretty well.

I managed to get a 5080 as well although I have an extremely weird issue. Sometimes when booting the game my fps counter will show framegen as working but visually it is not. Then if i press the windows key my entire pc freezes and reboots. Encountered anything similar?
The 5080 is experiencing odd issues in cp2077. I'd imagine a 5090 as well. Some say it's pci-e 5 and changing to 4 fixes it. But it's way to early at this point to know for sure.

Multiframe is not listed as supported yet for cp2077. Reviews show people using it and an option in cp2077 menu. You can force it via nvprofileinspector if you want to try it on a 40xx card. I tried that with my 4080 and in menus it's fine as framegen is disabled in menus. But exiting out of menus to render the game it's just a black screen. I wish i had a game that's listed as multiframe support that i can test. Really curious if an 40xx series can actually do it via forcing it like i did.

BSNB your results seem quite a bit off for that card. Meaning way to high. You sure Pathing was On? Go in game and select quick preset Off, hit apply. Switch it to Ray tracing Overdrive Psycho, hit apply. Select Transformer model and select dlss Quality. Hit apply. Ensure RR is On. Hit dlss framegen, hit apply. Hit Alt/f4 and restart game. Go into settings and verify it's set correctly. The game is known to not correctly using your settings until after a restart. It's not a framegen thing, was doing this before that.

And dude post a pic of the results. I'd like to see pics using settings i show in my next post so we can compare like for like.

Back in my day you had minecraft with 2 render distance and no smooth lighting at 13 fps AND WE LIKED IT.
But yeah if you spend like 5K on a GPU for an extra like 20 fps I to would be upset.
So here's me showing Ray Tracing overdrive default settings+Framegen. Then another 2 with dlss manually changed to Quality. The 2nd pic is not correct btw. The 3d pic is correct.

A 5080 should be what 13-17% better performance then my 4080? If it well exceeds that i may get one. But i've a feeling it's just the settings/benchmark oddness we've always had and still have as shown.

I checked another video and Ray Trace Overdrive Framegen but using DLSS Performance Showed a 5080 at 102fps, and a 4080 Super at 94fps. My 4080 benches at 93fps. So a 5080 beat my 4080 by 10%. meh I hope newer drivers increase this by a lot more. Because if that's the real results it's certainly not worth me upgrading to a 5080. I'll wait to see if a 5080 Super is more improved. And by more i need at least a 25% increase in performance.

I think it is my 10700k holding me back now.

That's the way computer gaming has always been for as long as I've been doing it which is right from day one.
Well i never liked 13fps. Bad enough we'd play Carriers at War on a C-64 and goto lunch while the computer made it's move. Hate minecraft and never liked anything below 30fps.

BSNB, i think you're just confused or didn't explain your settings well enough. Still have no idea what you were benching so nobody has a clue what your performance is. It's certainly not 95fps at the settings i benched at unless it was pic one DLSS Auto. Just trying to correct incorrect info before eveyone goes out and buys a 5080 after seeing your results. Then be disappointed when they find out the truth.

idk. better off getting it on console.
pc gaming is about playing the game you wanted late. supposedly with hardware that wasn't available then and better. updates seem to make you need to upgrade..
Maybe witcher 3 is now playable at max now as an example.

Only 95?! OMG, throw away that piece of junk.

I remember cutting grass for a month to buy extra 2 MB of RAM so my 486 DX2 could run Warcraft Orcs and Humans. Do you even know what real pain is? Imagine trying to watch porn (Britney Spears) with a 28.8k modem, the picture loading line by line as a printer and thinking "here come the tits!, here come the tits!" while your mother is shouting from the opposite corner of the house "ARE YOU USING THE INTERNET AGAIN???! WHO'S GOING TO PAY THE BILL, YOU??!!! I NEED TO USE THE PHONE!!! DISCONNECT RIGHT NOW!!" and then getting disconnected right before the good part.

Now I have to read "My new RTX 5080 only gets 95 FPS at full settings with RT maxed". This generation is doomed, we are all doomed.

Hope it was worth paying a grand just to rely on DLSS to play at acceptable framerates lmao

Except this is with frame gen, meaning that the real FPS is not even 60, with the input responsiveness even lower still, which is not recommended even by Nvidia themselves.

Considering that the benchmark average is very far from the heaviest areas in the game, you'll definitely need to lower the settings for adequate experience.
