ray reconstruction makes my game crash
as soon as i enabled the ray reconstruction option in game after a few seconds the game crashed, and when i wanna relaunch the game after a few seconds crashes.
i think it has something to do with the new update+ dlss4 stuff.
im already on the new nvidia driver on a rtx 4070

this is game problem after update + drivers
For me the new Driver crashes the game period, the same for Alan Wake even without DLSS or RT enabled. The driver is a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Also same issue here rtx4090. Full system crash on startup at the cdproject splash screen when trying to load. Even doing it when I revert the settings now.

Two things you have to try if your game is crashing with the new DLSS 4 and/or the new drivers 572.16

- RR is more demanding in the new DLSS. I your card is undervolted or overclocked, try to run it at default clock to see if it solve the problem. I had to add a liitle voltage to my undervolt to avoid the crashes.

- if you are using DLSSTweak, you must upgrade to the last version (released today). The old version is not compatible with the new drivers.

Same issue here. It's definitely an issue with Ray Reconstruction. If you turn that off, no crashes.

yeah thats how it is, if you wanna play this you can but RR needs to be off.
Yeah something is going on with the new Nvidia driver and Cyberpunk because I can't get this game to last like 5 seconds through the splash screens without it crashing and restarting my PC. Never had a problem until I installed the new drivers. I noticed to that when it did crash, the Nvidia app would stop working as well.

I've only played about 15 minutes with the new driver, and had no problems.

I'm using path tracing, if that is relevant. I usually play without RR as it makes some surfaces shimmery, or 'floaty' like they're liquid, but I had it on today to try it (still floaty).

Just thought I'd mention it, in case someone reads this thread and holds back on trying the game based on it.

Specs in profile, if curious (4080S and R7 7800X3D the main ingredients).

I'm not using any apps for DLSS switching or undervolt or anything.

I've let the Nvidia App do that optimization / overclock thing on my card, though, which I only recently discovered. Under 'System - Performance - Automatic Tuning'.

RR is WRONG very WRONG. Dont use ray reconstruction and game will run fine.

this is all games fault, i worked prior to latest update 2.21 worked perfectly now 2.22 or 2.23 is WRONG very WRONG. 5 years later almost.. and crashes like in 2020 lol

CDP need to get their ♥♥♥♥ together before pushing patches... reflections now look BLURRY without RR

Just FYI, I can finally get it to work properly when using this driver and hotfix install: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5608/~/geforce-hotfix-driver-version-566.45
The only problem though, sometimes after a reboot or update, the problem re-appears. Seems the suspect file gets re-introduced somehow. But at least the hotfix will allow you to play without constant crashing.

If you want to play cyberpunk 2077 with the new DLSS and new driver, delete the old DLSS files in the game folder:

1-nvngx_dlss.dll
2-nvngx_dlssd.dll
3-nvngx_dlssg.dll

The game was crashing because it was launching with 2 sets of DLSS libraries.

If it still doesn't launch, don't enable the new DLSS from the Nvidia app and instead verify the game file integrity from steam to redownload the older DLSS transformer model.

You could also try using Preset J in the Nvidia App.

i have done this and it doesnt fix it, the only way to play its by not using RR at all.

Try deleting these files:

ssleay32.dll
sl.reflex.dll
sl.pcl.dll
sl.nis.dll
sl.interposer.dll
sl.dlss_g.dll
sl.dlss_d.dll
sl.dlss.dll

Also, if you're using reshade or anything, try deleting the dxgi.dll file or a Xinput.dll file.

i literally deleted everything in that folder, enabling RR always makes the crash come in, if disabled no issues at all, i really dont know what to tell you.
