- RR is more demanding in the new DLSS. I your card is undervolted or overclocked, try to run it at default clock to see if it solve the problem. I had to add a liitle voltage to my undervolt to avoid the crashes.
- if you are using DLSSTweak, you must upgrade to the last version (released today). The old version is not compatible with the new drivers.
I'm using path tracing, if that is relevant. I usually play without RR as it makes some surfaces shimmery, or 'floaty' like they're liquid, but I had it on today to try it (still floaty).
Just thought I'd mention it, in case someone reads this thread and holds back on trying the game based on it.
Specs in profile, if curious (4080S and R7 7800X3D the main ingredients).
I'm not using any apps for DLSS switching or undervolt or anything.
I've let the Nvidia App do that optimization / overclock thing on my card, though, which I only recently discovered. Under 'System - Performance - Automatic Tuning'.
this is all games fault, i worked prior to latest update 2.21 worked perfectly now 2.22 or 2.23 is WRONG very WRONG. 5 years later almost.. and crashes like in 2020 lol
CDP need to get their ♥♥♥♥ together before pushing patches... reflections now look BLURRY without RR
The only problem though, sometimes after a reboot or update, the problem re-appears. Seems the suspect file gets re-introduced somehow. But at least the hotfix will allow you to play without constant crashing.
1-nvngx_dlss.dll
2-nvngx_dlssd.dll
3-nvngx_dlssg.dll
The game was crashing because it was launching with 2 sets of DLSS libraries.
If it still doesn't launch, don't enable the new DLSS from the Nvidia app and instead verify the game file integrity from steam to redownload the older DLSS transformer model.
You could also try using Preset J in the Nvidia App.
i have done this and it doesnt fix it, the only way to play its by not using RR at all.
Try deleting these files:
ssleay32.dll
sl.reflex.dll
sl.pcl.dll
sl.nis.dll
sl.interposer.dll
sl.dlss_g.dll
sl.dlss_d.dll
sl.dlss.dll
Also, if you're using reshade or anything, try deleting the dxgi.dll file or a Xinput.dll file.
