Updated 2.2: cyberpunk 2077 error failed to resolve address for has 0x1f551660. Process will now close

Curious, is this a thing? If so any idea how to fix it.. a quick way? This first time I have seen it and it happened after the 2.2 update that was installed about an hour ago. :/

If you have any mods disable them, mostly .asi files and their loaders, version.dll, winmm.dll dxgi.dll (from reshade but this one could also be present as d3d12.dll)

Thanks, I had worked it out after doing a Steam file check, but even with mods disabled and purging of all known mod type files like reshade inside the cyberpunk directory and re-downloading missing cyberpunk files there was no escaping the error.

So, just uninstalled the game completely within Steam and manually deleted all the files and re-installed.
It worked.I also headed over to Techpowerup and replaced the three (3x) magical Nvidia
Super Sampling files FG, RR, DLSS. Thanks to my brother [e-mail] https://www.techpowerup.com/download/drivers/

I ran the benchmark after the 2.2 update at 4k max settings and gave the highest quality options ticked with either using Ray-Tracing and Path-Tracing on ultra + Psycho with DLAA or DLSS Quality. Found DLSS Quality with Path-Tracing Psycho and everything maxed to be the best. With some sharpening.
This is with a Asus RTX 4090 OC Tuf hdmi 2.1a @ 3000mhz core overclock and +666 vram mem.

Replaced dlss related files installed with the game with newer:
Dec 7, 2024: 3.7.20 NVIDIA DLSS 3.5 Ray Reconstruction DLL
Dec 7, 2024: 3.8.1 NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation DLL
Nov 14, 2024: 3.8.10 NVIDIA DLSS DLL

No longer any flicker at all or other image issues to be noticed at 4k all maxed. Unfortunately, I just replaced the rr, fg and dlss files and not individually to see which one is the best improvement.

dunno whats the point of most of 2.2 update though. Extra hair styles and other V style changes when there is no multiplayer or 3rd person view apart from when on a motorbike.

be better if they added more random events while playing, multiplayer coop missions, 3rd person while walking outside of game missions and realistic gore

On SteamDeck, can't launch at all. No visible error message. No mods, no mod manager, all files validate, with or without --launcher-skip, on stock Proton or on Proton Experimental. Just 45 seconds of Steam logo spinning, then it gives up.

Maybe this isnt the place but i just want to share that, when 2.2 update download finished (i just download it this morning) it suddenly gives an information "disk write error" even though my SSD working just fine (because i put my steam main folder on that SSD and its still running Wallpaper Engine in the background). Weirldy exiting steam doesnt fix this issue so i just restart my computer. But when i open steam, its bugged and in the tdownload tab its says "Stopping Download", i cant even open the game properties. It still doesnt fixed

I had that issue recently, but for another game.
I had to resort to moving the entire game to another hard drive. Then start the re-install.. exit steam. Move the game files back. then resume install (it starts checking) and downloading the new files.
That fixed it
