Can't run Cyberpunk anymore
Cannot launch or play the game without crashing, when i load in game freezes my whole pc and i cannot do anything other than holding down the power button to shut down, or when i press continue same thing happens. happens along side static audio with the freezing of the game. I have reinstalled GPU using DDU, I have done a clean wipe of the game from game directory and reinstalled the game from all the files here
Cyberpunk 2077 folder from here: ...\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 folder from here: %userprofile%\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\
REDEngine folder from here: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\
CD Projekt Red folder from here: %userprofile%\AppData\Local
CD Projekt RED folder from here: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Programs
As well as running the integrity of the game files on steam, and deleting user settings in game directory. I have over 300 hours on this game, everything has ran perfectly fine up until recently when i booted up the game for the first time in a while.
I have stress tested with OCCT with no issues, I have no issues with any other game I have played other AAA titles. there are also instances where the game can run, but after playing for a bit ive noticed that if i have to load a save file up to the 5th time the game freezes. Turning off game overlays seem to have no effect. Cyberpunk support hasn't gotten back to me and its been around a week.

Can anyone help me with this and find a solution? I've run out of ideas on what to do

EDIT: I just booted up the game with the same bit of freezing to launch, but I was able to load in. But I was stuck at around 4fps in game when I switched to the lowest graphics, but when I pressed ESC I was at 360 fps. My game is usually at 90-120 fps. Seems to me like there is some sort of issue with graphics that is causing my game to crash?

EDIT 2: I have been able to consistently play the game with no issues, but they persist after I close the game and want to replay, in which I then have to restart my computer via power button because of a frozen PC. This has caused me to keep the game running for well over 5-6 hours if I want to play, because during these sessions there are no problems. But when I want to boot it up in a different time the game will freeze my whole PC

I can't run the game at all now without signs of freezing when booting up and then completely freezing when I try to load a save
Believed to be a Windows 24H2 issue, but I want a concrete answer. Can anyone help

What are your system specs? If you are running a 13th or 14th gen Intel CPU, you might be running into the degradation problem that silicon suffers. A BIOS update might fix it.

I had an immediate case of Cyberpunk hard locking yesterday, right after installing 24H2. Cyberpunk has worked without issue for weeks. After installing 24H2 yesterday, and within 15 minutes of launching the game, it would hard lock and require a PC restart. Happened two times in a row.

I rolled back 24H2 to my previous update version and the problem was immediately resolved and no hard locks were experienced for the rest of the day/night. I am strongly suspecting 24H2 is the culprit.

Edit to add— I just double checked my BIOS situation since I’m also on a 13th gen Intel and MSI MB. I am ostensibly running the most current BIOS version available for my MSI Pro B760-P. The bios release version is A.A0 from 09/26/2024, and that appears to be the most current version available that should fix the apparent issue with 24H2 on that MB.
