The game crashes after solving the mission at the Pacifica ferris wheel.
After completing the mission against the junkyards in Pacifica and successfully analyzing a connection point, I try to return from the Ferris wheel area to my vehicle to go somewhere else. I barely leave the looted connection point when the game inexplicably crashes. I've used file repair commands on my Windows 11 and verified the game's integrity, but none of that works. I get these types of error messages first:

*****
Error reason: Unhandled exception
Expression: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005)
Message: The thread attempted to read inaccessible data at 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.
File: <Unknown>(0)
*****

And in successive attempts to continue the game, which loads without problems and crashes when I move the character, I get this type of error:

*****
Error reason: Assert
Expression: !( alignedOffset & 0xFFFFFFFF00000000 )
Message: Detected integer overflow for offset: 52906124896 aligned: 52906124896 capacity: 3306632806 elementSize: 16
File: E:\R6.Release\dev\src\common\redContainers\src\dynamicBuffer.cpp(96)
*****
Error reason: Assert
Expression: !( alignedOffset & 0xFFFFFFFF00000000 )
Message: Detected integer overflow for offset: 52907153808 aligned: 52907153808 capacity: 3306697113 elementSize: 16
File: E:\R6.Release\dev\src\common\redContainers\src\dynamicBuffer.cpp(96)
*****

What's going on? How can I fix it? It's very annoying that this game crashes every so often without explanation. I haven't made any software or hardware changes since playing Cyberpunk 2077, and every 4-6 weeks I experience a problem that prevents me from playing and then resolves itself (like the upgrade from version 2.0 to 2.1, which left me unable to play for 3 months and then started working again). I've never encountered a game with so many issues in 30 years of playing video games.

Thanks so much for any help.

Probably try deleting your %appdata%/CDPR/Cyberpunk data.

You will reset your game options and keybinds by deleting this.
It's not a problem with the options. I've played the game for days without any problems without changing any options. I've tried loading a save game from before the Ferris wheel mission and I've been able to play again without any problems, until I continued with the main story and reached a key point in that story branch. But I forget to pick up a high-quality item and I load the game again to redo the last part of the story I completed and pick up the item, and... the game crashes again just before reaching the key point I had reached 2 minutes earlier without problems, and enters a loop of crashes that prevents me from playing that part again. And the problem in the error report is always the same:

*****
Error reason: Assert
Expression: !( alignedOffset & 0xFFFFFFFF00000000 )
Message: Detected integer overflow for offset: 52906124896 aligned: 52906124896 capacity: 3306632806 elementSize: 16
File: E:\R6.Release\dev\src\common\redContainers\src\dynamicBuffer.cpp(96)
*****

What the hell is wrong with the damn videogame for it to crash like this?
Check out my post in this other thread, covers most of the common culprits for crashing.

Also, if the game is running stable after those fixes but then suddenly starts crashing again a few days/weeks later it's likely you need to DDU the display drivers and reinstall AGAIN.
