Crashing on StartUp
Got the game like 3 weeks ago, Played it constantly over the weeks totaling up to 80 Hours now. No issues at all. Been having a blast. I get on my PC this morning and the game crashes on startup. Cant make it past the cd project red title.

i restarted, shut down. Viewed Integrity of files and had nothing. Every driver on the pc is up to date. Never had this issue before and now its happened all the sudden?

Same thing happens to Hitman 3 at 95 Hours. Just find it weird the games crash after reaching a certain amount of hours.

I don't know what else to do

Event Viewer says its a REDLauncher.exe issue

Anyone else having this issue at the moment? I love this game and I'm desperate to keep playing it

Same here with CP2077.
Even skipping REDLauncher the problem keeps happening (--launcher-skip).

:hazardsign: Edit:
The game works when i delete de UserSettings.json from C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077 ... but game crashes if i change something in video settings in the game, don't know why. And keeps crashing until i delete the UserSettings.json again.

If either of you are on nvidia cards, and on the latest drivers - try rolling back a driver or three. The last few ones have been horrendous.

Maybe you check whether you have the latest driver in the first place. I had the issue with one of the previous ones, but the latest has fixed it for me.
I had the same problem with CP in these past 2 days. Like a day before error it still manages just fine and suddenly it wont let me past these CD Projekt red title. They keep telling me it was flatlined or sumn. Tried the same with you, integrity those files and such, yet it doesnt help and it keep failed to load at CD Projekt red title.

I havent really tried to rolling back the latest driver, Tho maybe it will help.

Yeah it's definitely worth a try, they've been extremely bad of late. Best of luck.

I tried out the delete UserSettings.json file. I've narrowed it down to being the Ray Tracing. Put my graphic settings back up to Ultra like it was before. Had the Ray Tracing on Ultra the entire 80 Hours. So i turned it off and now I can open the game with no issues again.

I also tried installing an older version of NVIDIA's Game Driver but had no luck with that. Its been the same.
Same here, 4090 user, I was playing the whole game at max settings path tracing and all with no issues whatsoever. Yesterday my new 5K2K monitor arrived and I was dying to see how this game looks on it... I can't enable ray tracing at all. I think it's Nvidia drivers they were a mess lately
I had very similar issues as you, turned out that overwolf was causing the crashing issues when using frame gen. So I suggest force closing that in windows task manager if you have that installed (or something similar, e.g. I use it for game recording clips). Worked for me after multiple hours of trying to figure it out

I might try this. Since I also use overwolf.. thank you for the suggestion, i will updated how it goes later

PS EDIT: Worked like charm. I can open and play CP2077 like usual again
