so, nothing is hard-coded, but advanced configuration is not possible from within the in-game menu, you have to edit at least one .xml and one maybe two .json (because controlling V is one thing, and menu choices and in-game GUI are another) lefties have to do this, ESDFs have to use this, etc. some people want custom mappings for non-defined keys too, and you'll need scancodes for those and iirc editing yet another file; they're in various subdirectories, in and below steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077r6\config\
though this is brought up frequently, so I'm guessing once you stop being angry about it, if you put your google-fu to good use, you can probably find on here, on nexus, on CDPR's Cy77 forum, or the Cy77 subreddit, configuration files already done for lefties, I'm sure some other generous person has put up configs so non-technical people won't have to do it all manually. (there's a lot of things to change for each key, because they have states, conditionals, and most keys have both a tap and a hold setting.)
