Crashing using Optiscaler FSR 4 with rx 9070 xt
Hey, so I am trying out optiscaler and FSR 4 on my rx 9070 xt. Without optiscaler I've never noticed and crashing but using FSR 4 the game randomly crashes after some time. Usually results in the driver timing out, like with an unstable overclock, but I haven't touched any OC settings. Does anyone else have a similiar issue?

Which upscaler are you translating? I can use the in-game fsr 3.0 into optiscaler 3.x and then fsr4, however if i try translating from dlss i crash when trying fsr 3.x, however it works into xess.

I used xess to fsr4. After playing a bit more, it seems to be fine using quality setting and ray tracing ultra, didn't crash once after a couple of hours of play. If I try path tracing though, it seems to crash.
Mine is crashing after translating from DLSS and the game wont open anymore. How did you get the game to launch again after selecting DLSS?
Try and delete (or rename, if you want a 'backup') the UserSettings.json file located at:

C:\Users\>username>\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077

or, if you use Linux, like moi, somewhere in the proton prefix for CP2077:

<...>/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/1091500/pfx/drive_c/users/<steamuser>/AppData/Local/CD Projekt Red/Cyberpunk 2077

and then restart the game and let it regenerate the file. This resets the game's settings to their defaults.
It happens to me on Silent Hill 2, i play for hours and suddenly the drivers crash and the game stop launching. Sadly the only way i find to fix it was to uninstall optiscaler. I hope they start to add native FSR4 in more games, cuz FSR3 is kinda bad

It's the path tracing. Having crashes in everything that makes use of path tracing. I can't believe this issue has been going for 2 months and AMD hasn't fixed it yet. So much for the RT improvements if you can't even use them.
