Konpeki Plaza lights turn red, what works for me
I found some idea online on how to fix this. For me, turning off HDR fixes it. I also looked at the COLOR PRECISION setting in the advanced graphics settings. Reports were that turning it up from medium to high fixes it, but with me I turned it down to medium from high and it fixed it.
So right now I have HDR on, but the color precision set to medium, and its working so far.

Im running a rdx 3080ti ,64 GB RAM, and an intel I9 10850k. No mods. Windows 10.

Vets out there that have played this game a lot, does this happen in any other places during the game?

if you are talking about the mission then thats how it is supposed to be like, the hotel goes into lock down its called code RED for a reason right?.... unless you are colorblind and don't know it....

Im not aware of the alarm and lock down because Im not to that part yet. It turned red on me as soon as me and my friend Jackie walked into the place. Turning off HDR immediately gets rid of the red, and switching the color precision to medium helped too.
Its a well known bug, and you can find it online.

Now after the father was killed and we are hiding in the wall, the whole screen goes black. Bad bug in here. Up to now i had zero problems. I turned off ray tracing and down some other settings and its now flickering the screen. Terrible.

Later on in the heist, the screen went black again even after the other changes I made in settings. What helped the most was setting the frame rate limiter on. I set it at 80 fps and was able to play then. For some reason, that mission is the only part that has given me trouble so far. Apparently this mission give a lot of players these problems. Once I finished and got out of the car, I turned everything back up again to my normal settings and its fine.

Read that reddit link above. Do a search and youll find plenty of posts online. Its a problem, even today. With PCs, so much of this is dependent on what hardware youre using and software etc. Some people get lucky and dont have problems, some dont.
Turning on the frame rate limiter seemed to help, and was a tip I picked up online for this problem. Im just going to keep it turned on. I have it set at 80 now. It was turned off.

I read somewhere that cap your fps to be under your stable fps works.
It helped me, at least.
I had experienced both blackscreen with hud and everything else and red light in konpeki so I capped mine to 90, and it worked for both.

It's weird that it never happened in my first playthrough but happened often in my second even though they're the same version.

It happened when V and Jackie walk in after leaving the cab and checks in. There's no locked down happen yet.
Everything under HUD looks like they have red filter over it, sometimes flickering to normal. (mine goes back to normal once I reached the elevator)
It's a weird glitch but it looks cool, like if I haven't played it before I would have thought there's something wrong with V's implant.
However, the first playthrough didn't have this filter, only happened in my second eventhough they both are the same version 2.13.

Yes, thats what happened to me. I too at first thought it was intentionally red. Later on my entire screen blacked out. Thats when youre hiding in the wall and see the leader get killed. At some point in that scene it all turns black. Then after that its all black, normal sound. I put on the frame limiter and it took care of it. I also turned off HDR and ray tracing to be safe.

Happy for you that that workaround works for you too.

Side note: Since you have ray tracing on before I assume you have way better specs than I do and this still happen? lol It happens even to the best I guess.

This pc I built was about top notch back a few years ago when I built it, and its still holding its own. Im using a rtx 3080ti and an I9 10850k cpu. Put it together during covid when prices were sky high and you couldnt even buy a gpu. I got lucky and won a raffle at the store so I could buy the Nvidia card. Back around early 2020 I think it was.
