New 2.2 Bug - Run This Town - Downtown Meeting with Bennett
New 2.2 Bug that is a game stopper. Completely unmodded playthrough started a couple weeks ago. (Never played unmodded before)

During the "Run This Town" mission you can go downtown to meet with Bennett. After meeting with Bennett you are instructed to go to the nearby storage unit and remove the disguise. The game no longer lets you remove that disguise, no options appear to do so, and you cannot leave the area, game teleports you back. So your game is permanently stuck at that point.

Had a few other 2.2 Bugs, but this one is a game stopper, and seen another hit in on Reddit. CDPR needs to stop breaking the game adding stupid cosmetics and fix the damn bugs that exist.

Patches can sometimes present issues with saves from previous versions.. It's usually recommended to start a fresh new game after a patch releases, in order to gain the smoothest experience possible. But it's not always a guarantee either.

It's especially bothersome if you've come very far in your grind. With that said, did you try reloading the game to see if the bug goes away? Like start from an autosave prior to the very last one and see if it irons out that weird bug.

Telling someone to restart their game when they are 95% of the way through it IS NOT a proper answer. That's like saying you have a sore foot, so cut it off.

I have the same issue with a save that started in 2.1. Cannot change out of the personality construct, the prompt will not show. I haven't gotten there on a new save because it is very much lategame when you get there and it would suck to have to do that just because of that.

did you try reloading the game to see if the bug goes away from an earlier save point?

That doesn't work. I also tried postponing the quest till much later, but same bug still happened.

Just loaded an old save of "Run This Town" and can confirm the bug.

Also, can confirm this workaround from CDPR Support works:
I'm unable to deactivate the Aguilar imprint after talking to Bennett in "Run This Town"
Created 5 days ago  Updated 5 days ago

We're aware of the issue where in some circumstances the Aguilar imprint cannot be deactivated after the meeting with Bennett. If you want to proceed with this optional objective and have Bennett cooperate with you, try this path during the car conversation:

1 Pick the "You will forget Arasaka" dialogue option.
2 Leave the car immediately after Bennett.
3 Win the fight with Bennett.
4 Pick the "Do you want the throne? Then do as I say" dialogue option.

Yeah reloading a save doesn't fix it. Following the workaround Joseiah helpfully posted, thanks!

I don't really wanna fight Bennett just to fix a bug so I'm thinking of just waiting till it gets fixed. Can I beat the dlc and come back after for this quest or does the quest disappear if I progress with the dlc?

This quest has no impact on the overall DLC. You're free to leave and come back later.

thanks a lot, Nilaru. I've been waiting for someone to reply so I could complete the game lol. I've done everything except continue the dlc and beat the main story past the point of no return. Good to know I can beat them and come back.

Note: The bug also appears for games started post the 2.2 update (I bought the game day after 2.2) I've always found it annoying how close you need to be for triggers. It seems to me that the trigger is just a bit to far away to be accessible at all. I guess I'll fight him, even though I assumed that would change the outcome of the quest.

I'm experiencing this bug as well.

The workaround that []Josiah shared above worked for me.
