[Resolved] Permanent crash on launch - Update 2.2 has blocked game launch

Fix: Deletion of "\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\red4ext" directory resolved the problem

Also unfortunately experiencing this same exact thing. All mods uninstalled, files validated, reinstalled, nada. Meanwhile my dad gets to see all the cool update stuff in the next room over... Aint fair bro.

I had the same problem. What worked for me was removing the game from Vortex Mod Manager. Vortex -> General -> Games -> Managed , then on CP2077 Icon three dot menu -> stop managing. After Vortex purged all files it worked again.

Got an similiar problem, my PL Version doesn't match the base game, can't play that, can't download. Also after disabling all mods and even an total fresh isntall this persists

I switched to the 2_13_old in beta until mods are updated by the creators. Looks like "This Is The Way" for now.

SteamDeck experience: never had mods, all files Validate, Steam just spins its logo for 45 seconds and gives up, returning to Steam without reaching any title screen.

My update/patch 2.2 is just re-validating like 12 times already, I don't think it's somehow normal validation process, looks like running in loop...no I fear stopping it, so that it will corrupt the game. Anyway, it looks like it will end up corrupted anyway...Thanks a lot.
