How do I install non redmod mods with redmod?
So after my first playthrough now I wanna do another. But mod it with various mods I seen online, specially the Cyberpsycho one since Im a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weeb lol

So I started adding some more basic mods to my game files already, stopped near Red4Text which told me part of its installation process is to start the game. Probably to set up files.

Problem is now when I hit play inside the launcher itself it effectivly closes the game before it can start. No window pops up, it just doesnt start. So in turn I must be doing something wrong here and if anyone could let me know if there was something to it that I need to do first, please do let me know.

I did download and enable the RedMod DLC. Then looked up the mods I wanted to install which all werent RedMod mods. Told me to download a specific mod which makes them compatible with the launcher itself and did and installed that. Then got Red4Text and... well I am now here.

Barely any mods on it really.

There was Red4Text, obviously, Streetvendors, Cybercmd + Version.dll and I believe I also had added redscript? I do remember that I added Red4Text last. Could that be the problem?
after you clean install (as in delete everything first then uninstall because just uninstalling from steam doesn't delete 3rd party files) idk what version.dll is btw

install cyber engine tweaks > cybercmd > redscript > red4ext > streetvendors, in that order

install it one by one, run the game after each installation so you can pin point what gave you an error, my guess is that you installed something wrong or you're missing a requirement.

There is nothing special you have to do for installing Red4ext. You just install it like any other non redmod.

I did that

And now my game wont open

I am currently verifying files after deleting the files I added to the folder. So I will attempt it again after thats done.

Knottypine Oct 14, 2022 @ 3:00pm
Try verifying the files?

Edit: RedMod will only show the cog wheel if at least ONE mod is installed.

Best bet is a Skyrim style clean install and then install the various mod utilities, do you have CET installed?

Just to clarify that edit: RedMod will only show the cog wheel if at least ONE REDmod enabled mod is installed.

Make sure you have installed ALL the required mods for every mod you install. For example, Cybercmd requires Cyber Engine Tweaks (often referred to as CET) which you don't list as installed, so that is likely the reason why the game won't start.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Ye doing that. Although I didnt actually have to just delete everything beforehand. It does seemingly keep files in the folder that didnt belong there so I deleted those right after.

As for Version.dll. CyberCMD lists that you can use it instead of using CET so I did that over adding another mod straight to the list. That being said, it still didnt work so who knows if that was the screwup :o

CyberCMDNexus

INSTALLATION
If you use CET:
- extract cybercmd archive in the game directory
If you don't use CET:
- extract cybercmd archive in the game directory
- download the ASI loader (direct link) (it normally comes bundled with CET), and place 'version.dll' into 'Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\'

Will do! Thanks!
