Second conflict bug on 2.02

So, this is the first time I'm trying to get 'Don't fear the reaper' ending. I need to complete Johnny's side quests to do that. During second conflict, after talking with Nancy at the maelstrom bar and getting a ride to her place, I have to call Kerry and let him know and get the directions to Denny's place. Problem is, the game crashes after the call with Kerry. I've tried doing it at different places at different times of the day. I can continue with other missions but if I call Kerry, the game crashes.
Has anyone had this happen before? I've verified the files from steam. I could try and find if a mod is doing that but I have almost 300 of them installed and I'd like to try other options first.

Try to set graphics to default, it might help (2.02 adjusts settings to your PC)

I had the same problem, right click on the game in Library > Properties > Installed files > Verify integrity of game files, worked for me!
