Minimap disappears

Is it just me or when I get into a new area, phone calls, or messages, the minimap disappears on screen? This is extremely annoying because it happens so often and I have to slow down and wait for it to reappear to see if I need to make the turn...
Am I missing a setting to not let this happen or did they actually include this downgrading "feature"?

You don't happen to be using a 1440p ultrawide, do you?

I don't have this problem because I play with the minimap off. That may not seem like a solution to you but consider how much you're looking at the minimap just following GPS routes.
It can be a little more challenging in games to break that habit but it's certainly a lot more fun to actually look at where you're going, become familiar with the area, recognize landmarks, etc.
Doing this is actually pretty easy in Cyberpunk for the simple reason that you can't disable the onscreen waypoints.

Yeah, just happened to me too, and I could not see the things you could loot in normal mode. Save and reload is the answer

i'm on 3440x1440 and minimap never disappears for me, so 1440p ultrawide is NOT the culprit.

Are you guys using Limited HUD mod?

i have installed it a time from a collection but removed quickly.
I use 4k too in 3840 x 2160

it even happens to me from time to time.
quicksave and reload is what i do.
sometimes a quest will make it pop back.
and there are times when i loose the option to interact with things unless i'm scanning.
(and i'm still on an old version of the game, started without steam, so overlay isnt the issue)

i dont understand, all working fine to me till long time and the problem come after i have installed mod "betterMinimap" but after desactivate it the problem survive.

Ho that's mean you can solve it often ? how ?
Unfortunatly this game is unplayable without this minicard, my HUD working but is not suffisant to go to quests, hidden gems and missing persons/ :(

what happens if you install Limited HUD and set the minimap always active?
