I also randomly lose the sounds of my footsteps. They will just disappear and the only way I can get them back is to exit the game and reload.
Random NPC encounters voices other than during the main dialogues are really low as well. Really sucks because it's really annoying and pulling me out of the immersion and atmosphere.
Had exactly the same problem.
- Right click on the volume symbol next to your windows clock
- "Sounds"
- "Playback" Tab
- Choose your speaker (double click or right + "Properties")
- "Enhancements" tab
- there check "Disable all enhancements".
For me this made the game sound normal including TV, Radio, NPCs, Gunshots, ...
Only problem for me is that I have to pump up my speaker volume quite a bit because the overall game volume (also for Red Dead Redemption 2 and some other games) dropped significantly without those enhancements.. So if there's any windows sound effect or something my neighbours will wake up..
I'm not even sure if they are aware of this specific bug. It makes the game unplayable unlike the minor bugs.
I did what says in instruction and I am enjoying vibes of Night City with full sound ;)
But then I load my 40+ hours save and the radio just not working.
I think this is a bug that is triggered after you played for a while.
And none of those solutions worked for me.
nope, at least not for me and I didn't see it in patch notes.
