RED4ext error 1114

Hello everyone,
I’ve been encountering a persistent issue with RED4ext, specifically the error code 1114. After some investigation, I believe the root cause might be related to the recent update of the game, which seems to have rendered the current version of the mod incompatible.Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, were you able to resolve it?

I had this issue too and I tried every fix I found but sadly nothing worked, so I reinstalled the game and I only applied CET and RED4ext and it worked. Later on I added all my mods back in as before and it still works. Idk why it didnt work in the first place.

Yeah, I had the exact same error after the new patch. I managed to make everything work in the end, but I'm not sure what was the thing it started to work. I mean I worked quite long and currently I remember only that I uninstalled "Material and texture override" (did also something else, but what?)

Strange, I've "Material and texture override" installed and it works but the dev of RED4ext also asked me if I have "cybercmd" installed and yes I have it installed.

I think that we just need to wait until the mod developers deliver updates for the new patch

Why wait for the dev? It's working. You just got something wrong. At this point it's an user issue.

Not working for you yeah but for many others it does. Look, at first it also didnt work for me but I got it fixed, so its 100% an user issue. Do a clean install of Cyberpunk and just install CET and RED4ext and look if its working. And use the Vortex Mod Manager.

Was it Cybercmd and Codeware which didn't work well if both installed?

I have Codeware, Cybercmd, TweakXL, ArchiveXL, redscript, RED4ext, CET and heavy LOD and Graphics mods and they all work fine.

All the mods affected by the latest patch have been updated. Any problems currently experienced are due to either not updating [seriously, Vortex works really well] or stray mod remnants in your game files.

I strongly recommend using Mod Remover from Nexusmods to clear out all your old mod files and then remodding your game.

Now I remembered what fixed it in my case! Installing Visual C++ Redistributable fixed it for me. I suppose mine was old or something. Search Microsoft sites... I got mine somewhere there.
