Game crashes way too often.
Sometimes i'll just be playing for 10 minutes crash, then another crash after reboot and other few minutes. Is there some kind of patch to fix this? My computer is well above specs for the game performance feels fine. It just pauses for a second then crashes and its getting too frequent to ignore.

Some of things to try.

1. Make sure Windows is fully up to date.
2. Verify the integrity of the game files via Steam.
3. If you have anything overclocked try setting back to stock.
4. Make sure you have the latest display driver installed for your GPU.
5. Try a GPU clean driver install, Uninstall display driver via Windows then run DDU in safe mode, boot back to Windows then install the latest display driver.
6. Check temps of both CPU and GPU at the time of the crash.

Hope this helps.

crashes have zero to do with performance or system speccs. only with system stability. when this game crashes for you, but for others not, you have to increase cpu voltage. reduce overclock, and yeah as the guy said, run stock, or increase voltage. change ram to standard settings and so on. you have to find out what it is. cyberpunk is pretty stable game that does not crash.

I disagree, I've never run mods nor overclock and on my 3080 I cannot get more than an hour into a session without it crashing in 2.0, I beat the entire game with maybe 3 crashes when it released and now its the worst experience I've had on the same hardware.

Im running on Linux. YES linux. and it runs perfect. only in the very early start first day of the release i had a crash. for the next never had any crashes or really big problems.

With the latest NVidia drivers, the game is running rock-solid on my system. It _does_ crash, usually once, when I try to stream on OBS.

I would repeat the suggestions of A Tin Of Jar, above, and also add to make sure you don't have any possibly conflicting programs or overlays running in the background.

I have not a single crash in this game in 100 hours. and I even have oc/undervolt. it has zero to do with the game. your 3080 is unstable then in no overclock. which means bad silicon and bad cpu/ram or windows problem. but the game does not crash regular. I can proof it.

The patch could also make hardware usage different, more aggressive, more frequent or something else. gpu usage could go op, which should not be the case. but 2.0 increased cpu usage a lot. they even said it. so there can be your error. this is again not games fault using your hardware more percentage or properly. when you get crashes then, it has something to do with the system. it does not matter if it ran before. cpu was differently used before 2.0. still 2.0 should not crash. I tested it many hours.

there are games that crash always or on the same spot, everyone on reddit has it, like shadow of the tomb rider market place scene. there you know it is game fault. when I google it I find many people crashing on the same spot. both my systems even crashed there. so 100% game fault.

when I have zero crashes in 100 hours, should not be game wise. it is hardware or windows/software related. has nothing to do with agreeness, more with data that is out there.

my crashes did not happen in normal cyberpunk, also 20 hours after 2.0. I cannot talk for dogtown cause not finished it. but normal cyberpunk does not crash on 14900k and 4090.

so you say the game behaves worse on a 3080, which does exactly the same as every gpu does? rendering pixels? makes no sense. it is build for that. the gpu should be faulty, another part, or unstability in the system. or something is not perfectly in harmony and the game shows it's weakness.

I had crashes in mechabellum ever 3-4 hours one crash. my friend did not had it, also my old system did not had any crash in days. I tested a lot, replaced my cpu, and crashes are completely gone now. it is 99% hardware issues. or windows. it is only the game when it repeats itself for multiple users. then you can see it is a game pattern.

but if I have zero crashes in 100 hours. but you have frequent. it should not be games fault.

it could be an 3080 bug in a worst case. but then there should be way more reports about it and nvidia releases a driver. they work on this stuff.

but if you are the only crash guy, then it is you.

yeah it crashes constantly dude, I am on an RTX 3080 Xtreme, running on silent mode. other game is fine, but this game always crashes on me, not running any OC as well.

It doesn't happen to you, doesn't mean it is not happening for everybody else.
At times i go in the game it crashes in 5 mins, other times i played for 3 hours no crash, game is just unstable sometimes..

Crashing
Hello can anyone help?

I am experiencing crashing after about 15 - 20 minutes of play.

Sometimes it crashes to desktop and sometimes it crashes the computer.

I have a i7 14th gen and a 4080 super.

This happens on space marine 2 but every other game I try works fine with no crashing.
Bjørn Nov 5, 2024 @ 9:33am
It could be your system is overheating, perhaps? Try setting a max frame rate in the game, if you haven't already tried.

I got a new PC with a 4080 Super (rest of specs in profile) a few weeks ago, and the game hasn't crashed yet *knocks on wood* :cybereye:

And on my previous system (w/ 3070 Ti), the game crashed maybe 4-5 times in over 600 hours. That was mainly when I changed graphics settings.
Fuzzy Features Nov 5, 2024 @ 1:41pm
Same issues as OP. Majority of crashes fully lock up system. One has binned to desktop and allowed a cdpr diagnostic report.
Same problems when im turning DLSS Quality on(didnt try other mode), resolvable with DLSS off :steamsad: i7 13th gen, 4070
Bacchus Nov 5, 2024 @ 8:40pm
Exact same problem - this is not an issue with one person's pc hardware
Bjørn Nov 6, 2024 @ 2:04am
Could it be related to the Intel CPU issues then, perhaps? Using AMD myself, but I've been reading there have been some problem with some of the latest generations of Intel. Should be BIOS updates for it now.

But you guys with Intel are probably already aware of that, of course.

Good luck, anyway!

Here is one article about it:
