Since the 1.05 update it's not always working on first try, sometimes I have to do it twice to get it to work.
When hitting Play at the Red launcher immediately open the Big Picture Mode and make sure that you are not clicking anywhere during the intro animation.
That would skip the animation and everytime I did that I didn't work at all.
Let the animation fully start while Cyberpunk is launching in the background and if you do it right there should be a little blackscreen cutting that animation for 1-2 seconds. When the animation is done simply set the check mark on that Playstation thingy at controller settings, go back, close the Big Picture Mode and hop on Cyberpunk.
Tell me if that didn't work either, try it a few times if it doesn't work at first.
(you have to reboot the game each time and remove the check mark before launching it again ofc)
It could also be a timing thing, if so I could record the process real quick, it's worth a try.
GL and Merry Christmas!
