So yeah, sounds like something is bugged.
That said, Oda is not supposed to die, you defeat him, he goes 1% and Takemura on the holo ask you to not kill him, but you can loot jinchu-maru katana from him
What build is that? Because i can't even take him down "in seconds" with Sandevistan + O'Five explosive sniper rifle to the face..
The one time i have had the quest mess up on me, it was because i manged to take down Oda whilst he was mid-jump between two platforms. As a result, i coulden't loot his body for his Iconic weapons, as he was floating midair where i coulden't reach him.
But i've never had him turn immortal stuck at 1% health, nor has he ever gone down in seconds without a proper fight.
I am a net runner. Level 50 ish. Good gear.
I use overdrive or what ever it's called to use my health pool as RAM. I hit him with cyber ware failure, cripple movement, burnout and synapse collapse.
Then I hit him with another 3 Synapse Collapse and he's at 1%.
But he won't die lol
Maybe I just have to wait for Takemura to phone me.
He laid down in mid air for me..though (again...). So, I guess Red still hasn't fixed that problem. Luckly he was easily reachable. Last time I had to jump a good 50 feet from a container edge and time the loot button (sucessfully, about 6 times or so) to get his sword and all his stuff.... and that sucked. Took like 15 minutes, to do, because I couldn't get the timing and/or I couldn't always make the jump.
As far as i know nothing special happens as far as you getting a message from Goro or anything like that. He says something about V fighting for honor early in the battle and then mentions the thing about the lights and stay away from his blades... all early dialog, but that's about it. Doesn't beg for the guy's life until after it's over.
Maybe he has an immunity booster for 30 seconds or something. I know V can get one... where activated you can't drop below 25% health for like 6 seconds (though I think you have to give up quickhacks to get it).
You can always knock down the difficulty level... Game gives no incentive for completing it in Very Hard mode.
Reloading my last save, which was just outside the room thankfully seemed to fix it.
But yeah, general Netrunning makes the fight a breeze, that and EMP/Toxin 'nades.
