I've tried doing other quests, seen him make appearances, gone to speak to him then fast traveled to the Afterlife, rinse repeat, ... At this point I am at the decision point of no return in the story and haven't gone into the DLC or Gone to speak with Hanako. I'm Kind of stuck but think i'm going to make a separate save, take the dive into one or the other and then come back to the afterlife to see if I progress.
yes my game is fully updated with the phantom liberty expansion installed. no mods of any kind. i had started a brand new character when patch 2.0 came out.
Did it yesterday night - no problems.
Ever since CDPR started rolling out the REALLY big updates for CP2077 I've had some issues with the game just outright breaking... from the call with the personal coach not working in the Corpo opening to NPC's not calling and I found a fix for it that works every time (for me at least) and from a coding perspective it makes sense (I'm a python dev irl)
Uninstall and reinstall from scratch....
The reason for this is that the game has script hooks running in the background and when we get a REALLY big patch it's basically just adding new hooks to that.... sometimes this causes old hooks to break. Imagine it like editting a comment you made on a post 1 year ago in 5 seconds.... 70% of the times it'll be fine but there's that off chance your edit will break the sentence structure and just turns your comment into an incoherrent mess and if you have to edit a comment 10 times the chance gets bigger every time... Rewrite it entirely and you're fine 99/100 times....
It's why drivers like your GFX card allow you to do a CLEAN install too
I know it sucks for certain people and I hate to tell you this but just bite the bullet and do a clean install.
P.s. For the people who code as well... I know this is a REALLY crude analogy and not entirely correct but it was the best I could come up with...make a suggestion if you know a better one
I just did a clean install with no mods, and its still broken for me as well
still no fix T_T
is this mod issue or from 2.0/2.1 patch problem T_T
no idea...
