Saved Games Still Crashing on Load...
Hey guys!

for those that had the problem of the game crashing when loading any save if you had any commands bound to the side buttons on your mouse, I've found the game still crashes. I have no mods and have never had any.

Please let me know if you experience the same.

Cheers.

Grant.

2.11 or 2.12 ?
Cowboy Feb 29, 2024 @ 4:13am
Latest patch: 2.12 (I tried to bind reload and jump to my two side buttons on my Logitech G903. The problem started with patch 2.11)

Taking on trust vanilla install. If you can reproduce with a save made with 2.12 that it's a definite cause and effect from rebinding to mouse buttons, would be worth sending to CDPR: https://support.cdprojektred.com/en/cyberpunk/pc/sp-technical/issue/1700/my-game-crashes-7

Believe me, I have never used mods with this game. Ever. Removing the mice binding resolves the issue.

Update: I reached out to CDPR and they’re advice was to update GPU drivers…

That was the first thing in the checklist on the link I gave you. It saves time to rule out the simple things.
Same issue here, the f are the devs even doing?

I appreciate the help. I'm just not sure how GPU drivers relate to a CTD when commands are bound to the side mouse buttons.

Never an issue using side mouse buttons for me. I even tested Dash on a side button as many said that caused crashes. I am using Logitech G403 mouse. Note that i made a guide to specifically fix the issue for 2.11. It's in my profile. Looks like i'll have to update it for 2.12 as well. Do not use #1 or #2 until i update it please.

One possibility is apparently to do with Razer. In Cyberpunk there is a CChromaEditorLibrary64.dll. Removing this or renaming to CChromaEditorLibrary64.dll.txt (try with renaming first) worked for me. No crash. The dll file has something to do with Razer.

CChromaEditorLibrary64.dll is located in 'Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64'

Doing it this way doesn't require you to change your key bindings or anything like that.

Did you read my guide. I have a replacement file for that razor rgb integration file. But did you read the patch notes? "Together with Razer we fixed a crash that occurred when using Razer Chroma enabled devices." So replacing the file may not be needed any more. However it is looking like people using Razor products are still having the issue.

Wow. Thank you so much. I would have never figured that out by myself. I changed the game back to standard keybindings and now it works just fine.
I'm using the DLSS3 to FSR3 Mod btw.

My game was crashing despite this new patch, so I had to do the same thing I did last patch

After I loaded this patch (2.12) the game flatlines at any attempt to load a saved game. My next question will be on how to revert back to 2.11? I hope the answer isn't "you can't". So the real question is: what to do now with a broken game?

removing CChromaEditorLibrary64.dll (again) fixed it for me
