Stuttering In Game After Patch 2.11
The game stutters a lot now after this patch. Never had stuttering like this until now. It happens probably every 5 seconds especially while moving a lot.

13700k/3080ti

I have found that disabling E-Cores (for recent Intel 12/13/14th gen cpus) in bios happens to be the best fix for me and the game actually seems to be playing way smoother than it did before.

Seems like more than a few threads out there agree that a lot of gaming applications (among others) can't tell the difference between p-cores and e-cores on these new intel processors. So disabling them in bios until it is fixed by intel and gaming developers is the best fixed for many.

Go to game play and check that Prioritize P Cores is set to Auto. If you enable this feature, it will stutter. You have to reboot after selecting it. I just tested this.

Alternatively, if you have the scroll lock feature on your system to disable E cores on the fly, if you disable them in game, it immediately smooths out. But not all BIOS have this legacy game mode feature enabled. I turned it on in my BIOS for testing, its nice to be able to turn them off with a key press.

This right here did the trick. Prioritizing P Cores caused a ton of stutters but setting it back to Auto (and restarting game) continued stutters for me.

I deactivated my E-Cores and bios and that game runs WAY smoother than it did even before this patch. Thanks a lot!

Granted it's annoying to have to do this but I'm curious to see if this same benefit would also affect other games.

Been trying everything and nothing was working, and even deactivating my e-cores wasn't working. I tried just unparking every single core so they are running all of the time (including e-cores), and my stutters stopped completely. Game is running flawlessly now.

Hopefully they are able to push out a fix soon so these workarounds won't be necessary, but it is working for now.

After I tried that method, I can't even start my game anymore :'(

Went into game, loaded save, reset to default, played around a bit to see if any changes, none, quit game. Tried to restart, game crashes on load screen. Ffs.

Hey for this I had this issue too it happens when you change ur graphics and raytracing turns off and when you go default it disables it. To fix it go into the games settings.ini I forgot the path but I think it’s smthg like cyberpunk2077/pc/ smthg like that.

Anyways in that ini there is a line about raytracing is set to true just set it to false and when you load back in the game you can enable it again it should be good

Performance / Prefer Maximum Performance is better.

Changing the new CPU setting to "Auto" in game and changing the Windows power plan to "Balanced", along with the Ultra Path Tracing and Stutter Fix by sammiLucia will give you optimal performance for the game. Can even pair that with DLSSTweaks for better visuals (Given your setup can handle it).

AsRock Z790 Taichi Lite, 14900K, Gainward GeForce 4080 SUPER. CP2077 patch 2.11. All latest updates, drives installed. Newly installed Windows 11. And micro suffers in game FPS & sound every few seconds regardless graphical settings (even on Low).

Provided soultions did not help.

But here is what helped in my case:
- I turned off E-cores in UEFI, set to 0
- in the game, all good, no more shutters
- went back to UEFI and enabled E-cores back again
- in the game all good again, even with E-cores active

Yeah the only solution for me was to disable the E-Cores in Bios. There are a few different settings but people need to make sure that they pick the option in their bios that disables all of them. Double check with manufacturer to ensure you know which options to select.

The game is more stable for me than it's ever been and my 1% lows are way higher than before. I also found less stuttering and smoother game play in other games as well.

Disabling e-cores is not a solution pfff. What's next ... disable half of your ram? Set your screen to 30 hertz...?

I think I'll wait for a patch :-/

e-cores is a Вullshit. Energy efficient cores blah-blah... AMD doesn't have that shіt and is a king in gaming CPUs.

I understand your stance on this completely.... However, unfortunately this seems to be an issue with many if not most games. It definitely depends on the game and the severity of the stutters that game has, but if you do a little research on google/reddit/youtube you'll find that in most cases disabling e-cores for gaming is the best solution for the most stable session and your lowest 1% of frames (the stutters) raises significantly with them off.

Windows and majority of the applications cannot tell the difference between performance cores and efficiency cores. This is an issue with Intel and that's why they came up with APO (application optimization overview) software for 14th gen cpus. They recently made a statement saying that they would deploy it eventually for 12th and 13th gen cpus after getting a lot of flack for not doing so in the first place.

There is a video of an Intel rep explaining what APO does and it in fact just disables or "parks" e-cores for the applications that it does support. Case in point, for anyone just gaming on their PC while waiting for an update for this game or future APO support, feel free to just disable e-cores (for Intel 12th/13th/14th gen cpus) if you are experiencing issues like stutters or large drops of frames.

It takes less than 20 seconds to turn it on or off in bios, once you find where it is.

Again, I totally understand if you wouldn't want to or feel like you shouldn't have to do this.

Anyway, I tested this out and disabled all my ecores. It is better now, but not completely gone.

The only thing that works for me is putting the game on ultra performance dlss. But with my hardware, I should be able to play on 4K ultra with quality dlss and FG, which it can, it just stutters like crazy, every second or so. Also, the v-ram consumption is around 15K, so it's not a memory issue.
