14900K, 8400 CL38, and RTX 4090.
your same hardware and i do have stutters
Go to game play and check that Prioritize P Cores is set to Auto. If you enable this feature, it will stutter. You have to reboot after selecting it. I just tested this.
Alternatively, if you have the scroll lock feature on your system to disable E cores on the fly, if you disable them in game, it immediately smooths out. But not all BIOS have this legacy game mode feature enabled. I turned it on in my BIOS for testing, its nice to be able to turn them off with a key press.
set default settings,
restart the game.
Customize your settings.
Restarting the PC solved it though, luckily.
This right here did the trick. Prioritizing P Cores caused a ton of stutters but setting it back to Auto (and restarting game) continued stutters for me.
I deactivated my E-Cores in the bios and that game runs WAY smoother than it did even before this patch. Thanks a lot!
Granted it's annoying to have to do this but I'm curious to see if this same benefit would also affect other games.
