I just hope they fix it soon. As of now the game might as well be completely unplayable.
Somehow destroyed the car of Maelstrom, drove to another district and immediately another car attacked me.
Really not sure how after all this time an update comes out taking 2 steps forward and a huge back-flip backwards.
Then, at the end I was stuck in the car listening to him prattle on and almost died.
Yes.
As much as I love the features such as the metro and the radio on the go, if the game is killing me by spamming gang attacks then the patch made the game worse.
This isn't a small thing, but something that majorly affects the gameplay in a negative way.
I'm doing a fresh playthrough, so my level and gear aren't exactly up to snuff when it comes to fights like this. Not only that but the frame drops, which were not here the last time I played the game, are ruining my ability to drive and shoot.
Furthermore, I did try leaving the area only for another gang car to attack me.
The system is completely over-tuned.
As for the frame drops the only thing that comes to my mind is to check wether the game auto turned off your upscaling solution. I had FSR turned off automatically after updating to 2.1 and had to manually re-apply it. In case the setting is not visible in your game you will have to change the graphics preset to anything and it will come back up.
I re-did my settings since 1.5 but that hasn't helped much. As for aggroing a gang, I've only played until the part of the story specified above. I didn't go out of my way to aggro any gangs in particular. Even if I did, I doubt that a response like that is appropriate for my level/part of the story.
I'd definitely agree with this. Not game-breaking at all, but way too common, and breaking the immersive experience. When gangs are constantly attacking you over and over, despite being a single, unsuspecting citizen in a common vehicle, it makes the experience more like Fortnite than the deep immersion that they made with Night City.
CDPR just needs to hear from enough of us to realize this mechanic is way too overbalanced, and they'll follow up with a rebalance or a toggle option. And if they don't this is definitely one aspect that is absolutely worth modding back OUT of the game.
I was right in the middle of another playthrough when 2.1 dropped, and I'll be stepping away from the game until it is rebalanced or a mod is available. I absolutely love driving through Night City, simply taking it all in and reveling in the detail. The over-prevalence of gang attacks ruin that experience enough to give it a rest until it's fixed, but it's certainly not the end of the world.
