Gig: Old Friends won't complete. (FIXED)

I am not sure what has caused this because I have played this game four times now and this is the first time this particular gig has bugged. Padre sends me into a bar to take out a guy. I have both managed to sneak in and sneak out with his body, or just plain execute him inside the bar. As soon as I leave the bar, or deposit his body in the trunk, the gig just hangs up and sits on my list without completing. I get no call from Padre to begin the mission; instead, I get a text message from him. Once the mission is over, no call or text message happens.

Edit: I suspected that this quest might be tied to something with the main missions, and I was right. In this case, I needed to work through part of the Gimme Danger quest line with Takemura. After sending V to test malware on a small security room, the two sit down at a kiosk, eat and plan. I chose to go with him to infiltrate the Arasaka facility where the floats were being held; I'm not sure if that matters. But, while we were walking towards the elevator to take us up for reconnaissance, I got text messages from El Capitan and Dakota telling me they were giving me more Gigs. Interesting since I hadn't seen any side quests from them in a while.

Once I finished helping Takemura with the floats, I decided to test my hunch and return to the Old Friends gig. THIS TIME, I got a phone call from Padre explaining the mission--rather than the text I was getting. Everything else was smooth from there. I don't know if this will help with other missions, but if you find yourself stuck like it did, maybe you need to move the main story along a bit.
