Pretty bad memory leak issues?
Just as the title claims (or could be something entirely else). Can play for about 1h (sometimes way more, sometimes way less) with absolutely no problems and rock solid 60. After that it always gets worse and worse, down to low 40s. A restart of the game always fixes the issues. Hope they fix, as I want to play this lovely game as much as possible :)

I got it a few months ago and I really like it so far! I had a i7 7700K before so I noticed quite a big boost in basically every game lol. No issues at all, except here of course (but may be a bug or something and not because of the CPU). Works like a charm :)
yeah I also have a 7800X3D but haven't had any issues with degrading performance in this game yet. I only played for about an hour at a time though since 2.0 released and I do have higher specs outside the CPU. I'll keep an eye on framerate, temps, and memory usage next time I play to see if anything odd happens.
Hey, have you played more of the game? Noticed any issues? Mine have only got worse unfortunatly... Not a restart wont even help for me :(

I didn't have a lot of time last night but I did play for about 40 minutes and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. Hopefully I'll have more time today to play longer uninterrupted

I am seeing issues with the RT overdrive mode on my 3070. I can get rocksolid 35-45 fps with DLSS set to Perf or Balanced and a mix of settings that I like BUT THEN after like 15 minutes, the FPS drops to the mid 20's and never recovers until I restart the game. Is this a Memory Leak too?

P.S I was personally attributing it to the ♥♥♥ move by Nvidia to limit the 3070 to only having 8 gigs of RAM but it could also be a memory leak I am thinking now.

when it drops like that have and you have geforce experience installed hit alt z and press performance and check your temp and performance

having these issues bad

3070
7900x
32gb ddr5 ram

i got all the problems: laggy menu, map, backpack, performance drops within 10-30min, and weird stuttering that can be fixed by messing with any graphic or display option

its an NVIDIA issue related to Ray Tracing and 8GB cards that nvidia doesnt care about fixing because it pushes their users to spend more money on their bigger cards. it was reported way back in 2020 to radio silence. the caching npcs issue in cyberpunk exacerbates it a bit but basically Ray Tracing and DLSS end up pushing toward the 7.5GB limit on their own so the games themselves start to run out of allocatable video memory after about an hour or two. this is why you can fix it with a save and load at first but eventually thats not going to work either and you will need to restart. this issue also appears in Doom Eternal when you turn Ray Tracing on.

you can see for yourself by disabling Ray Tracing and seeing that magically the game never has the same kind of performance degredation. sometimes itll fix it right there without a restart.

If it's just a memory issue with 8GB cards I should be able to work around it with just lowering textures perhaps. I'll try this, thanks for the lead.

I don't think it was caused by RT.

I will still appear in the case of 'RT off/All low/dlss quality'

Just noticed this issue as well. crashes my entire comp after a little bit
Rtx 3090
intel 13900k
32gb ram
Anyone with a 139000K or KF, should go into the bios, find the UVP, or cpu voltage protection, turn it on. Then restart and download and install intel's XTU program, restart and use the program to change all your cpu's Perfomance Core Ratio from 55 to 54.
Everything will stop crashing.

Hmm yeah, turns out lowering textures didn't help. You're right in that turning off Raytracing altogether is the solution, this is a bummer. It looks so much nicer with it on, but if I can't play with it on then what's the point.

Same issue
Same 3070 and its bloody 8Gb of vram.

Not sure how accurate the xbox game bar is but the perf tab shows constantly > 90% usage on game. Usually 94-95%. I would not be surprise it runs out more often in time.

It's killing me how these FPS drops are ruining an otherwise outstanding experience.

I'm playing in 2k, only kept RTX reflexion ON. I'll switch it off too (shame because reflections are really making a visual difference) and see how that goes.

Really thinking of upgrading to a 4070 with its 12Gb soon. I hate to play Nvidia bloody game.

So update:

I confirm I don't have any perf issue anymore after deactivating all RT. The game is very stable now.

Problem is upon release of 2.0 i was finally able to have ray tracing set to ultra and had significant graphics gains and was able to play for 8 hours at a time with 60fps minimum, then PL released and all of that went to crap, now does the same to me if i turn on ray tracing, my fps dives and eventually it will crash, i would not say memory leak per say i would say something in Pl's code conflicted massively with the 2.0 update and ruined it altogether.

No point even trying to get their attention on it though as i bet they will bury their heads in the sand with this issue and deny it is even a thing, like i say though 2.0 was amazing, few days later when PL came out all of that was destroyed and back to how it was before.
