Pretty bad memory leak issues?
Just as the title claims (or could be something entirely else). Can play for about 1h (sometimes way more, sometimes way less) with absolutely no problems and rock solid 60. After that it always gets worse and worse, down to low 40s. A restart of the game always fixes the issues. Hope they fix, as I want to play this lovely game as much as possible :)

Where do you have it installed, and on what sort of storage device?

SSD NVME Samsung 970. Should be no issues. Also 3070, Ryzen 7800X3D and 32 GB Ram. As I said it all runs perfectly, but only about an hour lol

So why has nobody else got memory leak issues, just you ?.

no memory leak at all. Def something on your end. What are your specs? Could be dying ram or overheating cpu / gpu.

i have it too. But problems starts after ~3-4 hours. SSD,
Before 2.0 all was good. Sometimes i play 8 hours in a row without any problem.

The game is CPU heavy! Maybe CPU droping frequency, could be VRM heat issue. What motherboard do you have?

I just played 3 hours straight without any drop in framerate. I havent looked at the RAM usage but I can take a look tomorrow to see if there's anything unusual there.

There previously was a pretty severe in-game memory leaking pre-2.0 and just as you described you could play for an hour but the FPS would be getting lower and lower.

This however wasn't a real memory leak, more of an in-game bug with caching because you could regain performance simply by reloading your save and it would work until it happens again.

Try seeing if reloading a save fixes the performance. If it does then it seems they still haven't fixed this old in-game bug. If it doesn't then yeah it's an actual memory leak at which you point you could try fiddling with drivers or bios settings, especially turning off any overclocks if you have them and reporting the issue to support.

Haven't tested whether it still happens in 2.0, but guess I'll find out as soon as the expansion finishes downloading.

Ah ok I see, thought it could have been a memory leak. Looks like it at least. Ok I will try that, could be that bug in that case. Have no issues in any other games like this. Thanks!
I've noticed it as well. It seems like Streaming exacerbates the issue somewhat, but my PC has always been a bit screwy performance-wise, so idk.

MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WIFI is my motherboard. No overheating either. Very strange imo

ive driven around for a couple hours and stolen random cars to try the newer handling model and didnt crash, however i do have 32gb of memory so i cant speak for 16 or 8gb machines

I have encountered what you're describing OP. GPU usage % would remain maxed (99%) but GPU power draw would drop from max (220W) to alternating around 140W - 170W. This made FPS drop from 50ish with RT on to 30 or less. Found another person with the same situation on reddit but unfortunately no solution other than restarting the game. Got tired of having to do that so eventually just kept RT turned off all the time.

It worked. I tried to reload a save in an area I suddenly got 45 fps in. Went up to stable again. So it seems it could be that bug right?
