NPC Clothing/model graphical glitches.

[All Thriller No Philler]

Some (so far only female) models wear clothes that massively glitch out. They shoot polygonal "sprays" in a spastic and rapid outward jump to your camera from their point, and take over the screen while doing so. Makes driving, fighting, and even just navigating the stores nearly impossible if one of these glitches are around.

I think I've noticed it in the market at the bottom of your starting apartment too.

Edit: Appeareance Menu Mod (AMM) on the nexus let's you blacklist outfits that are broken. It just saved my game.

How to locate "spoiled clothes" and add them to the blacklist?

Play the game, when u see one go over to the npc an try to get a clear view. (best when NPC is sitting)
Use the CET menu (Which is prerequisite) to target the NPC. There is a button wuth "blacklist outfit".
alternatively u can find a sitting NPC and use the key you bound to "cycle throug outfit" until you find the glitched one.
Unfortunately some decorative corpses are glitching too. Nothing we can do there at the moment.
The blacklisting works for characters you killed, too. I had an enemy outfit glitching out.

There is a seperate window of AMM. Look there. Maybe u first need to map the button for the AMM Menu? Did you map the button for CET? For me I will get the window of CET and an AMM window with multiple tabs. There is a tab with multiple choices like "cycle outfit" "blacklist outfit"

Well that is concerning since you are not on an Nvidia, which means the problem is more deeply rooted.

Man I hope they patch this soon. It's killing the game for me. Been using AMM, but some npcs only jave a couple outfit options, and those are all glitched.

did a clean install on mine despite my slow connection and the issue appears gone thankfully. I also got rid of the CDPR folders in the %Appdata% folders as well to really clean it out.

It will eventually come back.

I updated my drivers (nvidia 3080ti) and that improved the glitch but didn't eliminate it. The geometry sprays are smaller and often settle down after a few seconds. FYI.

Is there a hot fix? I am on the newest ones.

Did Patch 2.1 fix it? Not seeing it in the notes. Only seen it happen with female NPCs. They look fine from a distance but their clothes start spasming out once I got closer.

Just a note regarding my previous post: I was not thorough enough with my cleaning and left "Cyber Engine Tweaks" behind, with several scripts still running.

If you're trying to do the same cleaning up, make sure you check the following folders:

archive\pc\mod\
r6\scripts\
r6\tweaks\
r6\input\
red4ext
bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\

Delete them and then ask Steam to check the integrity of the installation.

So far the game hasn't produced any glitch with the textures.

the black list literally doesnt work. i blacklist things and still see them. is there a way to save things and keep them in the blacklist? I even tried editing it manually in the files.

haven't had any issues for a while now, even started tossing some mods in. anything that needed nulledcookedapps won't work until its updated. the game does use it anymore
