Cant open inventory after completing Story Line

I can access my messeges but thats all, I cant open the inventory or character menu at all I just get a messege saying "You cant access this right now" which I know is a glitch because Im in free roam mode at the moment. Even if I wasnt theres simply no way to know because I cant access the journal to figure out what quest im on. Therefore this is definitely a bug.

Ive now discovered this bug goes a lot further, if I go to a fast travel station the menu for that is just black and white, also if I press escape it goes to the correct fast travel screen, then when I try and click a destination is plays the money spend sound but nothing happens.

I'm having this exact issue. Just unlocked "Play it Safe" where Takemura tells you to lay low for a while. Completed the mission before. Guns blazing on the Arasaka compound.

Can't access my messages. Can't open the map. Can't open the inventory. Saving and reloading the save didn't work for me. Fast travel does the black and white thing, pressing escape at the fast travel location brings up the map but I can't fast travel. Trying to access the stash in my vehicle does a similar thing (doesn't do anything after I press interact but after I press esc it brings up a bugged inventory screen). Sleeping at my nearest apartment didn't work. Previous post suggesting Joytoy didn't work. Nothing seems to work.... So weird.

I just started having this issue as well. Nothing seems to fix the issue. When it happened I was taking Rogue on a date to the movies then Reed called me saying to come meet him at the bar (Quest The Damned). I had to stay in the car with rogue or I fail the mission but it said I was on the mission with Reed instead. I thought completing both quests would fix the issue (by still going on a date with rogue even though I didn't have the quest selected and then go to the bar with reed) but it did not fix the issue. I don't know what to do. I've already tried everyone else's solutions but still nothing :/. At least I can still play right? 😅

yeah getting a call during a scripted event is notorious now. I wish they'd put a "reset input states" in a menu so we wouldn't have to figure out all these goofy solutions to getting our input to work again. They know it happens, we definitely know it happens, so why not help us out if you can't reliably squash these annoying glitches?!

first, just get killed, no idea why it works, but flatlining vs just reloading can reset your controls. If that doesn't work, people have figured out that reloading quickly can, like load in a save, and when it's almost about to give you control, spam F9s. Again, it's goofy, it shouldn't do anything, but it can.

scripted scenes can reset it too. But once you've done all the braindance edits and zen master stuff, pacifica rollercoaster, etc. there's really only the joytoys on jigjig street, but again, seems to help sometimes with control issues.

I wish I had more solid "just do this" kind of fix, but so far doesn't seem to be a one-fix solution anywhere. You'd think this would be a prime target for modders to make too, but it might be too low-level for a mod to help with. no idea.

I have gotten very careful about keyjamming because sometimes these things are persistent as hell. other times the go away just getting into a car. Assuming you can GET into a car, that one glitches, too. 🤷

i have this problem too. i just bought the dlc yesterday, it occured right when i finish fighting the mega big robot which songbird hacked. cant open backpack and phone, can' travel to anywhere, just gone black and white. gone to jigjig street and ♥♥♥♥ joytoy (male and female), f5 and f9 a thousand times. and it just don't work. hella bugged cp2077 pl

Same problem just occured on my 2.11v nothing above fixed the problem, no F5 F9, or manual save, autsave, nothing worked for me, need an alternate fix pls! 🙏🏻
