Also after doing this for a couple of times, the fps in general starts dropping. And in an hour or two I need to restart the game to "flush" and it goes back to normal.
There's definetely a leak somewhere.
Hoping for a quick fix from cdpr
Disable all raytracing options (uncheck all square marks)
SET DLSS to "NO".
The game looks beautiful and runs smoothly after that.
my game was stuttering and getting laggy every time i opened the map, the options above worked for me to solve it.
(Sorry about my english if im writting some words uncorrectly)
Wish u the best :D
Its a known memory leak that to this day, so better hope that by 3.0 they'll have it fixed.
got triggered somehow with 2.0
Ray Tracing: OFF
Path Tracing: OFF
DLSS: Quality
Frame Generation: OFF
game runs at 70 frames after the phantom patch with above settings. 2.0 worked like a charm with ray tracing enabled, what happened?
Although my menu was just slightly lagging on the map not 20 secs like you said so maybe its a different issue.
I Agree. I think the issue is definitely a memory leak. In all honesty it seems to stop once you restart the game, but it comes back within an hour of playing. I don't think disabling rt or dlss is a fix or worth doing if you can just restart the game to fix it. I just hope CDPR fixes it soon. It can be quite distracting sometimes especially in the middle of combat if you have to access the menu for whatever reason.
Rebooting the game seems to be a temporary fix. Not sure if your fix will fix it permanently. If not, i'll just keep restarting the game when it becomes bothersome until they fix it I guess.
Funny that you say that because i booted up the game and played a bit before 2.0 release. Played for several hours and the slow down never happened so the issue is definitely apart of path 2.0 that resurfaced.
