Disable mod: Codeware - TweakXL - ArchieveXL - EquipmentEX and then do a steam Verify of files. Make sure you keep your old save to go back to when mods are fixed. Spent hours to get it working but still not ideal. One of the mods DLL Files must be the wrong version due to 2.01

Fresh install fixed my issues for now.

Make a Vortex profile clone first.

Edit: Works but loses the Wardrobe function and the other mods that rely on those mods but no modded gear has gone from my stash but looks like I would have to just redo my Outfits. I just bough Phantom Liberty also....Sucks but ill play though then once when mods are fixed.

I saw in some post someone said they started their game from the bin folder. I tried and it started the game no problem. This was after I had already uninstalled and fresh installed with no mods.

Just start the game from its source folder, for example mine is from GOG Games and u literary bypass launcher

That doesn't solve anything for me. The game still looks for file on E drive, while it is installed on D drive.

Error reason: Assert Expression: result Message: Failed to initialize scripts data! File: E:\R6.Release\dev\src\common\engine\src\baseEngineInit.cpp(1055)
Registered crash info file... InternalVersion: 3.0.4912681 P4CL: 6422997 Stream: /R6.Root/R6.Release !!!CRASHED!!! Error Reason: Assert Expression: result Message: Failed to initialize scripts data! so, as someone mentioned earlier, one of the devs had to accidentially hard-code the file path...

alright so this isnt true for everyone, but for the grand majority of people here, this is just mod related. Just uninstall mods for now like archive XL or anything that might fight the game.

also, for everyone saying "its looking on the E: drive!!!" its just how the game is, with the error codes. It has nothing to do with your actual installed drives.

Fixed - Nvidia Geforce Experience wasn't showing the new driver update. Had to go to the website to find it - new driver came out a few weeks ago.

ah, this could also be a case of "download the 537.42 drivers since it has specific things for cyberpunk's phantom liberty expansion."

It's looking for a file on my E:\ drive, but the game is installed on C:\. I suspect there's a filepath in the code somewhere that is trying to find the file based on where the dev has it, rather than where the user has installed it

If you're right about that... Oof. Should be easy enough to fix though... Can probably do it yourself with simlinks until they fix it...

To prevent people from going down a rabbit hole:

This is not the issue. When compiling c/c++ code, the compiler is going to put the path of the source file based on where the file is on the computer compiling the code. This doesn't mean it's trying to read some file from your computer's E drive. All this is saying is that the assert in baseEngineInit.cpp at line 1055 is the assert failing and causing the crash.

Source: C/C++ programmer who uses the __FILE__ macro in a very similar way.

The game runs fine, Remove all mods then save, reboot game up. If still crashes then your save is no good.

If your game is crashing try a new game no mods installed see if crashes still persist. If this is the case lower your settings and repeat above.

Halt all third party program if any running like cheat apps, or social media apps, the only apps running should be for kb and mouse, nvidia, or fan monitoring apps. All other unnecessary apps should not be running.

A new install shouldn't need to be verified unless you have intermittent internet.

If the game still crashes then you should consider looking at your hardware. Maybe start saving for better components. or look at how you have your components are mixed with others as this can cause issues.

"This mod isn't too blame but how the 2.01 patch was installed. The patch updated 'final.redscripts' and placed it in '/r6/cache/'. You need to copy this file into the '/rd6/modded/' folder and your game will launch. If you are still having trouble after this, copy all files from the '/r6/cache' folder into the '/r6/modded/' folder."

This also worked for me, though all the lasting mods weren't working anymore, but the game finally starts.
