2.0 Crashing Fixes and Solutions
If anyone else has experienced crashing and found a solution please let me know. My specs are RTX4090 I-9 13900K 32Gb DDR5 on 2Tb NVME.2 and my game crashing every few minutes. I've already tried to verify game files, update drivers/windows, and changed settings, disabled Hyper-Threading, and even undervolted my CPU values from 55-58 to 54 for my performances cores and that didn't fix it either. PLEASE SHARE your experiences and fixes.

ok XMP probably isnt it. more crashing in cyberpunk and other games.

next attempt is changing my P core ratio from 55x to 54x on my 13900k using intel ETU

I saw this suggestion many places time for me to give it a go. and just like last time I wont know if it works for a while

Did you disable OC/Boost clocking on your CPU? For me, there was 3 options for that in my BIOS.

I didnt change anything other than the 55x -> 54x. so far the crashing on Alan Wake 2 has stopped but its too early to tell if its the fix

I added more information to my OC'ing section here, and might be useful to check the other sections as well: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3055946248

This solved Crashes for me:

1. Open windows Defender
2. Open Device Protection (translated from german)
3. Click on “Windows Security Administration” (translated from german)
4. Open ransomware protection administration
5. Open “Allow App by folder Access” (translated from german)
6. Open “add allowed app” (translated from german)
7. Choose Cyberpunk 2077.exe
8. No more Crashes

Microsof Defender just keeps telling me "Unable to log into Microsoft Defender". Must be an issue on their end for now. I really just quoted this so i can try again later without having scroll through and find your post again lol

oh yeah also do know that crashes are typically on a user-to-user basis, mine was that my GPU was using too much power and i limited it with MSI afterburner, but this probably won't work for you! However, if you want to try it, consider looking into your temp files (windows + R and then %temp%) and looking and seeing if you have any gpucrashlog files, if you do, try opening them and checking the message. If it's similar to, or is 0x887a0006, you might want to try lowering your GPU power limit, (I do 85% but consider tweaking yourself) and see if that helps. Went from crashing on heaven benchmark 100% of the time after i waited (and also cyberpunk, heaven was just faster and easier) to never crashing on it just by limiting the power.

Nope. nothing works. Game was working fine since I bought this laptop 2 weeks ago, since last week only this game crashes (before the CyberPunk 2077 logo finishes its animation/screen). All drivers up to date, wasn't able to find Nahimic whatever in Services (or sonic... realtek is the only audio option in there), tried a clean uninstall/reinstall will all cleaned out folders/zero mods downloaded/in the folders... Cyberpunk folder looks to be as clean as can be after the install, still crashes. Tried the variations of launching the game either through the CyberPunk2077.exe and the skip launcher thing in properties...still no avail. Still depressing.

Started crashing randomly while in-game approximately after last Friday. Only change in the system is that on Friday I got 4 updates:
1. 2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034123)
2. 2024-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5033920)
3. 2024-01 .NET 7.0.15 Security Update for x64 Client (KB5033734)
4. 2024-01 .NET 6.0.26 Security Update for x64 Client (KB5033733)
Not sure which one may be causing issues.

What has helped me so far – three days without a crash:

Delete the UserSettings.json file in AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077. If you can’t find it, search for %LOCALAPPDATA% in the Windows search bar. Note that after doing this, you will need to set up your graphics settings again.

In the gameplay options, disable cross-platform saves.

Also, turn on Debug Mode in the NVIDIA Control Panel. This is a great feature for identifying issues with the card, or for games that are sensitive to overclocked video cards. To enable Debug Mode, open the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to the Help menu, and select the Debug Mode option.

In the launch options for Epic/Steam, add --launcher-skip
