I didnt change anything other than the 55x -> 54x. so far the crashing on Alan Wake 2 has stopped but its too early to tell if its the fix

Microsof Defender just keeps telling me "Unable to log into Microsoft Defender". Must be an issue on their end for now. I really just quoted this so i can try again later without having scroll through and find your post again lol

Not sure which one may be causing issues.
Delete the UserSettings.json file in AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077. If you can’t find it, search for %LOCALAPPDATA% in the Windows search bar. Note that after doing this, you will need to set up your graphics settings again.
In the gameplay options, disable cross-platform saves.
Also, turn on Debug Mode in the NVIDIA Control Panel. This is a great feature for identifying issues with the card, or for games that are sensitive to overclocked video cards. To enable Debug Mode, open the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to the Help menu, and select the Debug Mode option.
In the launch options for Epic/Steam, add --launcher-skip
