Any idea how to avoid the bug when I replay this?
I've never managed to do what you have done so not really sure. You do go past the that corridor as you are approaching from the upper level, then have to go down to the van and back up again. Just stick to the objective and don't get distracted by long empty interesting looking corridors.
Crazy to me, 2 years later and the dev team declaring 'Mission Accomplished', one of their main quests is still game breakingly broken.
Yeah there are a number of points in the game where playing things out of order break the quest. The better game designers like Beth and Rockstar avoid it for the most part.
Just more evidence that wherever the money went in this game it was not the coding. Just putting a roller door at the end of that corridor would fix it.
The Sasquasht event close all the door of the place and when defeated door open but the bug close them again if you do the van after.
CD Red Projekt ... You are definitively not serious studio or you don't care only for ou money (not the only bug, and driving is a joke, road trip are good, try first person for more immersion).
Initially I wanted to push back on this and say it's more QA's fault, but I've worked software dev enough to know there's a great chance that bug was reported and simply not addressed. Before game release - I'm willing to shift the blame all the way to the OG culprits - management. They demanded the ship date. That said, Over a year and a handful of patches... yeah, I'm letting QA off the hook. I find it less likely they missed it, and more likely CPDR just didn't care any more.
What a shame.
Yeah, there is also the window in one of Wakako's quests were it's possible to climb out a window but not back through it. Rather than trouble shoot the issue they took the glass out of an adjacent window so V had another way to get back in.
it was shareholders who pushed it early, management gave the order they got given. :< Really sad how it all turned out. I'm coming back now its supposedly all how it should have been at launch to play it.
Interesting, I have done that mission multiple times and have not encountered that issue. To be honest, I always got to the Sasquath ( misspelled i think ) after everything else. So I guess doing her " out of order " breaks the mission. Only thing I can suggest is reloading an older save prior to meeting her and just avoid her until later in the mission.
I played through it about 3 months ago finally, same patch though. It's... good enough. It's not the game we were promised though. Not by a long shot. It's also still fairly buggy but you can get through it.
Yeah? You read through all the forum discussions first so you know how to avoid all the bugs in the game before you play it? That sounds like a blast. You must get a lot of chuckles at us rubes!
After the van you are told to go up the lift shaft.
I have literally never seen a thread about this except this one. Next time I have this mission I'm going to try and kill her before I go to the van.
