Bug: Stuck in elevator and can't talk to Jackie

I just purchased the game, because it was on special and because they had updated it to version 1.5. I heard the tales of all the bugs, but figured they would be mostly fixed.

I did the initial mission, where you have to rescue the girl in the bathtub. After the heli came to pick her up, I stayed behind collecting loot. I then went to the elevator, where Jackie as already there. The instruction says to talk to him, but there is no way to do that. I tried everything I though off.

The very first mission, and already a game breaking bug. I tried reloading, but still stuck.

Also, it wouldn't let me rebind some keys. I use a modified Colemak keyboard layout, so my keys are very non-standard. I had to look in the forums for a solution, which involves modifying some config files.

I don't know about this game, man... kinda don't want to bother with it anymore. I can't only expect that there's gonna be a bunch of other similarly irritating issues.

Try going back and restarting from a previous save.
