Artifacting and flickering on gates, power lines, and metallic/mesh surfaces
I'm on an RTX 3060 Ti with an i5-10400F

Hello everybody, I've just recently bought this game and I'm having issues right away with this flickering. Right after leaving V's apartment, it's very noticeable on the power lines hanging up above, all the surrounding gated walls and certain signs. Everything I'm reading is saying it's related to the path tracing update and that it's a DLSS problem. After updating the DLSS library, turning DLSS off, trying FSR and Xess and turning all the options on and off individually, it seems to solely be a raytracing problem. The artifacts go away completely when raytracing reflections and lighting are both turned off completely. No matter what other settings, there will always be at least a slight flickering on these surfaces. I'm unsure what to do other than wait for an update and was hoping anybody else has had this experience.

The only other example I've found of this is in this post on Reddit which showcases the shimmering perfectly while clarifying it to be a raytracing issue, not a DLSS one.

If anybody has any info or ideas, please share. I'm desperate!

Hello there, I just tested something in Cyberpunk and noticed the same artifacts you’re mentioning. It disappeared the moment I turned off Raytraced Reflections. The post you included shows the exact same thing that happens to me as well. I’m on a Ryzen 7 7700 and RTX 4070 Ti. Makes Raytracing pretty unusable in some spots cause it really ruins the immersion. I think it’s either a flaw of the tech itself or a game problem. I’ve noticed something similar in Dying Light 2 where the vegetation did the same flickering/shimmering thing when Raytracing is turned on. So who knows really but at least we can be certain that it isn’t caused by a faulty GPU :)
