Game too bright

I've started to play again with patch 1.6 and for me I can no longer play once I am outside. The game is so bright, that I am unable to see anything.

I've already modified the settings so many times from low to ultra, from RTX off to on. I have no HDR on, as my monitor does not have it. I am really lost on what else I can do.

I am playing with an nvidia RTX 2080 Super. Recent drivers and I use no mods.

That's not looking normal. Could try a clean install of your GPU drivers as a start?

Thank you. I did the clean install of the GPU drivers with the hope that it would resolve. Sadly, it didn't. It also seems to "save" with the game. When I try to load a different save, you can even see it on the thumbnails.

P.s., it also happens on my older savegames and new starts. Mostly visible in the first mission with Jackie where you help the person and wait for the trauma team. Once on the balcony, I can not see anything as it's so bright. Quite out of ideas.

posting because i'm having the exact same problem and i'm not sure why. have you installed any mods? i thought it was related to mods but i'm having the problem even after removing mods that mess with the weather/lighting. i'm also noticing people on mods unrelated to each other commenting about this problem, they allege the 1.6 update changed the way the sun light works and that's what's causing the problem.

hey, dont know if youre still having the issue, but i was experiencing the same issue and had no idea what it couldve been. i did have mods installed but the issue occured before i installed the mods. basically i fixed it by deleting some files. the bin file, tools file and mods file. after that i verified the file integrity and launched after wards and it works just fine. dont know if i did anything else cause i spent a good hour trying many different things but if this works lmk.

@Kud that did end up working for me as well i went into the game file an deleted those files an then verified the file integrity an now it works just fine thank you
