BUG: Textures Glitching
After playing a few hours and loading old saves a few times, eventually the textures bug out and flicker. Shortly after that the game crashes.

Sounds like overheating. Artifacting over time and crashing are sure signs that your system, most likely gpu, are overheating.

That is not the case. If there's one thing I keep an eye on it's system stability including temperature monitoring. My GPU and CPU temps always stay under 70 degrees, and the parts are not overclocked. It is happening from loading too many saved games in one playthrough, possibly combined with playing a few hours.

Are you loading saved games from different updates?
Whenever the case it's either your computer having problems, or it may be corrupted files. I have played this game a couple of 100 hours and never had problems with the textures, and the game has never crashed.
I started a fresh run using update 1.52. System is extremely stable. Game files are fine. No mods. It's a bug. Maybe I load more saved games than some people, hence the reason you may not have seen the bug yet. It does take a good while to appear.

You know what.. it's happened to me too a few times...
By flicker, do you mean NPCs, cars, etc.. flicker / swap out their textures super rapidly?

Yes that exactly. Rapidly changing/flickering textures.

Man, I wish I knew. It only ever happened to me after long play sessions. No other game has ever done this to me. In fact, I never crash in other games, I'm quite blessed. But in Cyberpunk 2077, yes, I have experienced this texture flickering issue. I thought it might be my GPU overheating at first, but I don't think that's it honestly.. I play in 4K HDR, DLSS Quality, with max settings and RTX On. Really pushing my system, tbh..

Again, exactly the same here. I've played hundreds if not thousands of games, and it didn't happen there. It's indeed only after longer play sessions. I notice that if I load a lot of saves it seems to cause the bug. Not 100% sure but quite sure. It could just be the playtime that does it. It doesn't have anything to do with overheating or anything on our side. It's a Cyberpunk issue. Maybe certain settings in the game mixed with longer hours of play/lots of loading=this bug. Currently playing at 1080p HDR, DLSS Quality, maxed settings(incl. RTX) myself. I used to play 4k but I find myself preferring the extra frames. I get like 3x the framerate at 1080p.

would be better to show pictures and/or screenshots.

artifacting in gpu can be either in 1 game or in all games, or even in normal use. with screenshots and pictures of how it shows on your display it will be easier to know what would be the case, either software or hardware.

Maybe if it happens again I will record a video, but I try to avoid it now. Not loading too much seems to prevent it, and not playing too long. Basically what happens is all the textures on NPCs and other things will cycle rapidly to all sorts of variations constantly as if the game can't decide what textures should be active, so it flips through them really fast. It's nothing on my end. Very stable PC - software and hardware. Play long enough in one go with enough loading of saves, using the settings described above(if it matters) and you should experience the same thing.

I played for long period of times sometimes up to 9 hours, also loaded saves in same sessions, on a laptop, dlss quality, if on 1440p max settings no raytracing, or 1080p max settings dlsss quality and raytracing. Nothing of what you had happened, and temps were higher than yours since im using laptop.

What i would recommend doing now is using DDU to uninstall current gpu drivers, and then install the latest one from the official site.

I already do this all the time. This issue has always been around as far as I can remember. I'm not new to maintaining a stable PC, in fact I'm borderline obsessed with stability/compatibility.

Also as described above, we were using HDR and max settings. I assume N7Andy meant including Psycho settings. I do have those enabled myself. I also use G-sync, and I assume from his monitor he does too.

I don't know how many times you loaded a previous save in your 9 hour sessions though(without quitting the game).

maybe its an rtx bug? try playing with rtx off for a few hours and see if it happens again.

Wouldn't surprise me, since RTX is buggy as it is. Static surfaces seem to move, at least with reflections on. Also that fence on the left of the entrance of All Foods for one of those starting missions. The RT implementation here is just not complete at all, or just not done very well. Surprised it's still in this state seeing as the game is now version 1.52. I will turn all RT off when I finish the game's missions.

The game suffers from a few memory leaks in my experience. The longer the session / the more saves you load in a session decreases stability, until you restart the game.

I recently had a bug that when I loaded any save, it stuck a random object (stored in memory) into my characters head. If the object was large it gave me the ability to fly depending on where I was looking.

Also opening the map too many times in 1 session will cause severe fps drops that last longer and longer the more times you open the map.

I'm sure they're very aware.
I mean this is a pretty big issue, which to my knowledge has existed since launch. It's baffling they didn't fix it yet. Maybe they're just not aware? Most probably don't play for even ~3 hours in one go, and most of those that do probably don't report the bug because they have no clue what it is.
