Gig doesn't trigger.
MIA Gig in Badlands doesn't trigger. Dakota doesn't call. Tried completing another mission. Didn't fix it. Tried waiting, several methods of reloading. Nothing. Anyone know what to do? I honestly can't believe, that I waited up to six months since the release to play it and there are still broken quests in the game. Stellar development CDPR.

best thing to do is load a previous save before that triggers.

BUMP

I am having the exact same issue and made too much sidequests to load a previous save... Is there any new solutions? Or maybe should I continue the main quest praying for this contract to trigger?

No, I never managed to trigger it. As far as I know, loading a pre-existing savefile before you go to Badlands is the only way. I even tried to force start and force finish it thorugh console. Nothing. You can't fix it. Only prevent it from happening.
I can not, however, be unamused that even with 1.5 this ♥♥♥♥ is still in the game.

I started CP2077 right after the 1.5 patch release to avoid that kind of major bug. I'm surprised this one still hasn't been fixed.

you people need to learn how to maintain your PC and notice and remove troublesome processes.

at my new nomad V i was 22/22 with regina before i even finished the heist. i just now touched the badlands and even though i didnt take the main road i got a call from the fixer.

its not CDPR's job to teach you how to work a PC. move to console.

seriously..... playing a video game (exactly like the way you do) is "maintaining a pc" for you?
So I guess you don't like to play open-world titles that much, right? ;)

Let's forget about those hidden insults and move on to topic.

1: Please describe what you mean by: "notice and remove troublesome processes."? Mods?
2: You mean one shall not enter Badlands before completed The Heist? Yeah... I know.... You know... nearly everybody knows (I guess in nearly every RPG it's the same: Start to play after Prologue / Tutorial - otherwise expect issues).

So, if you don't mind I would ask for some help - not for insults. Thanks.

In the meantime I will disable all mods - so sad :( - and try again.

Maybe that was the actually important message - hidden behind these many words saying blahblahblahblah
