Best Settings for RTX 2080 TI I9-9900K 1440P
Anyone with similar spec please post settings! I do not use RTX I think it is useless and kills lots of performance!

1. select Ultra preset then turn off Ray Tracing, DLSS, film grain, chromatic aberration, depth of field, lens flair, motion blur (unless you like any of these (but always RT and DLSS OFF)
2. check performance.
3. if not satisfied turn down screen space reflections to high, this setting has the biggest FPS hit of all settings (below high things start to get grainy, you can choose to turn it off for a massive FPS boost) this should really do the trick. But if not the next setting that hits hard is volumetric fog resolution followed by ambient occlusion.
I used to play this with a 1080Ti with high/ultra and get around 70 fps average @ 1440p

used this guide to see FPS impact per setting: https://www.game-debate.com/news/29966/cyberpunk-2077-most-important-graphics-options-every-video-setting-benchmarked.
should be able to play this really smooth with these specs with minimal image quality loss.

Yeah, turn off the ray tracing for sure. It might be better on the 3080 but on my RTX 2070 it ends up looking worse than ultra without it. It also bombs performance at odd points. Only thing it improves is your shadow but that is because it blurs it and without blurring it looks like a place holder. I am guessing a lot of CDPR playtesters were using RT.

I can do everything max and stay above 60 FPS without it. I am on lower p monitor which is easier on performance, however, so mileage may vary. That said, I don't feel that I am pushing my machine much so I expect you should be fine.

Make sure to do psycho settings on reflections. They really did a good job with reflective surfaces.

On the 3080, Ray Tracing looks great.

I thought that might be the case. On the 2000s series it was more of a first essay and a novelty. It looked like they made it a serious feature on the 3000s.

Raytracing is fine on the 2080Ti as it is comparable in performance to a 3070 thanks to the extra 3GB of VRAM. I have your exact same setup and run the game at the same resolution, raytracing full ultra. DLSS on

Or - set to 1080p and try UItra with RT and compare to 1440p without RT.
ΜΣ†ΛĿ 2021 年 7 月 2 日 上午 4:39
even a 3090 can't do RT at acceptable performance on 1440p. I got a 3090 here with resizable bar enabled, running on a 500W bios 2010mhz clock and decent Vram overclock (over 1TB/s bandwidth) and game with raytracing enabled drops down to the 40's, even with DLSS/quality it drops below 60 fps quite often. this is on 1440p.
You need DLSS to be on with RT with any hardware available today if resolution over 1080p. IMO DLSS makes it looks bad (very noticeable detail reduction and blur; even on quality setting in close distance around the player) and the RT tradeoff for 100% less FPS is not worth it, the visuals are not that much different with RT ON vs OFF, i'll take the 100+ fps average over that any day.

Have you tried without though? I was mostly ray tracing until this May. I got tired of the occasional 20-30 fps drops (I play on highest difficultly so this can get you flatlined) so I swapped. I was blown away by the visuals.

Previously, I thought some stuff in the game was a bit muddy. When I turned off ray tracing everything became so much higher fidelity. Obviously this is a 2070 not a 2080 but I don't know that they are that different. I can see how much better the raytracing looks in the 3090 video but the game won't even let me put the settings that high. In the raytracing section, I am only allowed "medium."

Also depends on your framerate tolerance. Since patches, ray tracing will rarely dip below 30 fps for me but can occasionally go as low as 18 fps. Usually, it is between 50 and 30 fps. I prefer 60 fps which I can hold stable without raytracing everything else on ultra. In terms of game performance impact, this is the difference between breezing to first place on my first try in the shooting contest at the beginning of act 2 without raytracing and five retries to make it there despite a lot of effort with raytracing.
Orochimaru 2021 年 7 月 2 日 下午 12:03
I hit between 70-80 with raytracing consistently, rarely ever even dipping to 60 or below. Because of this, I havent even really bothered with turning it off since that is a plenty comfortable framerate for me on this game. Im sure with it off I would see a large FPS gain but I really do like the raytracing. It's one of those things you never noticed wasnt there but now that it is you dont want it gone, but thats personal taste more than anything.

You might find this useful for gauging your own performance vs that of another card in the series - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KP71IBNjjm0

You should be seeing better performance out of that than you reported, are you sure there isnt something else going on?

Metal there's def something weird going on with your hardware getting that performance on a 3090 and the rest of your setup.

Have a 2080ti and run RT at ultra with everything else maxed and get a pretty stable 50-60 (and over 60+ in some places) on a 3440x1440.

all on ultra with RT off you get around 80fps, with RT on you get around 55 unless you play about you can get that up to 65 on avg

I don't think so, the examples I gave was the FPS lows in most demanding areas of the game, techincally I can hit around 70-80 fps with RT on and DLSS quality, and around 50-60 with it off, but the minimums in most demanding areas still happen; drops to 40's width DLSS off, and just below 60 with it on. this is with the Raytraced lighting on Psycho setting (have not tested Ultra just tested Psycho to see the lowest FPS hits) With RT off I'm 95% of the time above 100 fps and lows are at about 80 fps. all other games performance is insane, benchmark scores are consistently above average for this hardware, because high overclocks.
